Have you looked into your hormone health? You definitely don’t have to have a diagnosable imbalance to notice a difference from supplementing different things. Also consider your stress/cortisol levels.

I love to clean to background soundtracks! It makes me feel like I’m in a movie, and helps me to romanticize homemaking. I’m not sure how to link my playlist without sharing my name but a lot of it is Italian instrumental tracks. One of the Artists I like is Armando Trovajoli

I find having a full length mirror(as big as possible) in a location you spend a lot of time helps me a ton. I’m more aware of how I’m moving and I’m more comfortable with my body because im used to seeing myself all the time. I noticed this because i move around a lot, and the times when I’ve had a large mirror in my bedroom I tend to keep at a healthy weight a lot more easily too

Did you NEVER have a conversation about being exclusive? Even when you were dating?

Thing is he already agreed to monogamy with you. Too bad he didn’t learn about RP sooner if that’s what he wanted

A RP dating sub would actually be cool, but it would probably need to be a private group to filter through who is actually ready for marriage

I didn’t realize those types of dating sites existed! Thank you so much for sharing, on Reddit of all places lol

I’m guilty of playfully bickering, but I’ve learned that it can be really emasculating to a man and the underlying tone is disrespectful even if that’s not the intention. I finally though of it like would I talk like this to my father? No. To a teacher I look up to? No. Etc.

I know an older women who has been mri tech for a long time while being a mom/wife. Idk how much she makes exactly but it has to be over 100k and she only works 3 days/week with a flexible schedule.

Read the surrendered wife by Laura Doyle, also consider doing coaching through her program. It is basically instructions on how to reverse these type of situations, although it is very difficult and can take a LONG time. Also deal with your trauma in therapy so it doesn’t continue to damage your relationships, and lastly take some accountability

Well being a lawyer gives you an advantage in that you have access to high earning and ambitious men, definitely use that to your advantage! It sounds like you don’t have any debt so you might consider scaling back in your career and focusing on preparing yourself for a relationship/husband hunting haha. Read the sidebar for really helpful information on effective vetting process:)

Honestly I’m straight but wasn’t really attracted to anyone at all until I was like 19. I think it was partly due to high stress, and depression for me, but you still have time, some people haven’t even started their period at 17

I think it’s important to remember that LD only deals with married couples, not the dating stage. So presumably these are men that you deemed decent enough to marry. And like other commenters mentioned, there is a large caveat at the beginning of the book for exceptions

You should not marry a person who you feel this way towards, it’s totally unfair to them.

I’m planning to do this with my brothers family soon. Obviously there are cons, but I think the other commenters are not even considering the pros. If it works out it could be a wonderful community and a way to tag team with another mom for more support. It takes a village right?

I don’t have advice but just want to add, remember this is a season of life that will pass. It sounds super overwhelming, but you will be all the more patient coming out the other side!

I think some of the wording can be altered, but the concept still holds true. One of the main take aways I got from the book is how much we women can over explain, which eventually gets in the way of our men organically contributing to the relationship. So that’s where her curt suggestions come from. Maybe it wouldn’t work for your relationship, but it’s hard to call it terrible advice when it’s saved so many marriages.

It’s definitely hard work even with a partner who isn’t a narcissist… I sympathize for you

I think you’re missing the point, following LD steps have changed narcissists behavior, no one said their diagnosis changed, but the way they treated their wives changed

I believe it was in the empowered wife, but basically she says everything she teaches applies to narcissistic husbands as well. She says the narcissism basically disappears when the wives follow the steps

I recently got rid of my microwave for an air fryer and it’s great if you are trying to lower toxins. Although I would be careful to make sure you look for one without nonstick. Also a big case of Maison jars for storage!

I struggle with this too. I’m practicing saying “ouch” and then nothing else at all. That way he knows How I feel without having to bicker over it. The hard part is holding my tongue afterwards🙃

Are you maybe putting him in charge of your happiness a bit too much? You sound a bit codependent. When he is spending time with other people and you’re feeling like u need more attention, that would be a perfect time to go do something for yourself:) if you’re happy, he will likely need less “decompression” time and end up spending more time with you. As far as the ski trip, I don’t see how he could’ve rescheduled something with his boss? Or why he would want to when you’ve had an attitude? Whe…

He is trying to manipulate you, you need to cut contact. The things you shared do not EVER happen in a normal relationship. He has showed you he does not care for your safety or your emotions.
