reddit hivemind at it again. everyone who read the article sees some merit in it and say so only to be downvoted. everyone who came to reflexively get pissed off about feminism gets upvoted. congrats /r/mensrights, you are exactly what everyone thinks you are.

Not trying to tell you how to live your life but....isn't it your responsibility as the go-to man in her life to refute these claims and challenge her worldview? If someone you really care about sits you down and calmly tries to have a discussion with you about an issue, aren't you more apt to listen? You're the person that will have the most effect in saying something to try and soften her opinions. You don't need to convince her to your side, but present your side. Even just saying that its hu…

...those are both true facts, aren't they? I wouldn't want my kids to think of these men as role models. What's the complaint here, that men who are jerks are being called jerks?

What you should have done was gone out to help and interview homeless people. Do a large enough sample size that you can prove the disproportion, then ask questions that will display disparities between how these homeless men and women have been treated over the years. My guess would be that the women possibly received more services and the men may have run into issues because they were judged based on their sex as being more dangerous or involved with drugs than they were. Either way, then you …

some of what you mentioned is newsworthy, sure. op-eds can provoke discussion, comics can be funny and include a younger audience in reading the paper (even if its just to read the comics and hang out with dad or mom), you get what i'm after. and sure, some of what you mentioned isn't really necessary in the news, like Dear Abby or the like. my distinction for 'including features beyond the news' would be at the point where the feature alienates a large portion of the audience or something along…

i mean....i can't say that they're ENTIRELY in the wrong here. c'mon now, we're supposed to be a community advocating equality, i think we can all think rationally about this and recognize that boobs aren't news, they're right. and sexism works both ways so i'm all for no more sexism, just be sure that goes both ways. they're not attacking men here, just advocating their own cause. if you still have an issue, they have the email listed...maybe talk to some friends about emailing if you feel stro…

uhh...isn't everyone missing the fact that men can physically drink more than women? this may be sexism, but its only just. we don't need to get all riled up because of it, especially when taking into account that most players who are men will drink more beer than the female players.
