After mulling this over quite a bit, I think you are correct. I got emotional and fell into the trap of thinking that there is a deep flaw in myself that made me mess it up. But the correct perspective and the Chad way of thinking about this is that I wasn't the right match for her. Chad doesn't do things wrong, women are just sometimes wrong for him. I didn't end up asking her. Just wished her good luck. Thanks, TRP!

Did you read the OP? Who said anything about changing things to reach a compromise?

No, obviously I cannot be with someone where it feels like I'm walking on eggshells. But that's besides the point. I'm only mentioning it to show that while it's true that women will sugar coat things, sometimes they are straight up about why they don't want to see you. And that girl who got upset and the mentally disabled joke used to work with autistic kids so she was super sensitive to that sort of thing. But anyway, yeah, not a big loss.

If I feel they are good people, I would tell them the truth. "I thought you were too young for me and I thought we wouldn't have much to talk about past few dates." "You are too outgoing for me, I prefer to spend more time inside." If I don't respect them, I would just ghost. I don't care what she wants to gain from that. She asked and I'll tell her. Just because things didn't work out doesn't mean I have to be a douche.

I don't know why everyone here is repeating this as if it's some immutable truth. I've been told many times before that she doesn't want to see me because of something I've done. I made a joke about the mentally disabled once and she got all serious and said that's awful and that she wouldn't be seeing me anymore. I had another girl tell me I was too serious.

This isn't true in my experience. I've been told they don't want to see me anymore because I'm arrogant and cold/insensitive. Sometimes they tell the truth, sometimes they sugarcoat it so as to not hurt your feelings.

My frame is already gone. I haven't seen her in a year and I have other girls now. I don't want anything to do with her, just want to know why she lost interest.

Did you make yourself feel better by making this post? I've already said everything you said. You didn't even answer my question.

She was my best plate so yes there is some feels there. I am just not sure how to proceed with broken plates so I am asking for guidance. I think I handled this one well, though. She left? No problem. I'm done texting her and giving her attention if I am not getting anything back. Just want to make sure my strategy is sound.

Don't EVER tell a girl that you got home safely and/or are going to bed she asked me to do this.

on a serious note... is this something i should accept from a girl? it's evident that she is lying and making excuses not to see me, but then she's also meeting up and putting out some percentage of the time despite that. plus, all popular people are flakey to an extent. where do i draw the line?

You said you "got" needy, implying you weren't before. I'd wager that's not true. i mean, i do get needy with women i really like but i wasn't with her initially. my frame was really cool the first and second time we met. i think you can tell that she's somewhat into me in the first two pages and then i overextend myself and just kill attraction. I think that you have a unfulfilled need for female intimacy. Then that neediness overtakes you and desperately claws to get the affection. But that do…

Because she was lying obviously and you were doing everything to lose her. what do you think i should have done about the lying?

Why did you keep doing all of this? because she had been super flakey but still put out. i thought if i could see her more, i'd be able to have sex with her. question: is it ever okay to accept flakeyness from a girl? on the one hand, i really dislike that she doesn't respect my time. on the other hand, all popular people are flakey and was still somewhat receptive and did meet up and have sex with me while being flakey.

at what point do you think i should have done something not to lose her?

Never complain. do you mean my warnings to her? i should've just gone silent instead of walls of texts about her being busy, yeah? at what point should i have said something about her flaking out? and what should i have said? Never explain unless you are teaching. could you expand a bit on this?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
