MRA's won't win the war so long as they refuse to do so with a sense of moderation. You can't attack fanatics via fanaticism. You have to win over the populace with moderation, well thought out points of discussion and action, and ultimately the kind of sense that displaces the hurtful ideals you're attempting to replace. Posts like this are only providing more ammunition for the feminists that would seek to discredit the MRA movement. Downvote me all you want (and you will), but in the end you …

You'll get downvoted for your post (and I will for this one), but I agree. I think the issue itself is pathetic, and it's pretty sad that feminists are running out of things to make an issue, and its equally pathetic that /r/science mods caved and put up a header that's all women. It's also pathetic that this has become such an issue on /r/MensRights. What would have made more sense is to have the community vote on who should be there. The people in the banner should be there because the communi…

Men don't have it harder than women. We don't have pain and anger and hate. We don't have a history of being oppressed and treated like second class citizens. So, you shouldn't find as much anger and pain because there isn't nearly as much of it. I think many MRA's, and proponents of gender equality as a whole, campaign because if we are all striving for equality than being equal is where the line should be drawn. Men shouldn't be hung out to dry in court systems, women shouldn't be given more l…

Green = me (male) Red = buddy (male) White/orange = former coworker (female) White box = someone from high school (female) I love how quickly it went from being a comical image to a lecture on what defines someone. Fellas, we got a long way to go...

Absolutely. As I said, exact retribution legally. We don't need to be defined as using the same low, manipulative, morally reprehensible tactics as people like that.

Where I live as long as one party is aware the call is being recorded it is admissible. And I'd like to point out that numerous people have said that, yet nobody else seems to have any suggestions about how this could be handled aside from "get a lawyer". We all know how that will turn out.

The beauty of CallRail is it gives you a host of metrics: time of call, number called from, location of call, owner of the number that dialed. It's actually quite neat.

This. My initial reply was emotionally fueled and not as rational as it could (should) have been. Gather what evidence you can. Make it concrete. Something irrefutable. She seems to love bragging to you and other people about how she fucked that guy over. Do the same to her. CallRail lets you record calls. It's $30/mo. I have some spare CallRail numbers. I'll set it to forward to you, she calls it, you get her to confess... and then BOOM, we have her. You have her. Vindication for your cousins b…

You take that evidence right to the fucking police and you get that fucking woman tried. Do not sit idly by and do nothing. That woman needs to understand that by making false accusations regarding sexual assault she not only got an innocent man fired but is also devaluing victims of legitimate sexual assault. In short, fuck that chick up as best as you legally can. EDIT: Now that I've calmed down. RE: kami232's excellent reply. This. My initial reply was emotionally fueled and not as rational a…

:) The first thing I'd do is determine who hosts the site and go there first. Given the nature of the website I'd make an appeal to the host in writing and see what they're willing to do. Hosts typically don't like to have defamatory, hateful, or abusive sites on their network. If that didn't work my next step would be to determine the registrar (if different) and see if I can have the domain name suspended. Failing that, there are legal options that your attorney would probably advise you of as…

Love the use of the word "crippling". For a second I was almost convinced this was a rational conversation regarding issues that many in the sub feel are important, not an opportunity to load emotional statements in the hope of creating some kind of emotional response. My mistake.

Agreed with your closing statement, though you wouldn't know that reading some of the threads in MR lately :( Thanks for clarifying for me. :)

It's not a question of her agreeing. It's a question of you being there to support her and see this through. Take the stance that you're there for her, to make sure that she's okay, and that you know it was a difficult decision to make. Whenever possible get everything in writing (text messages, e-mails, etc.). Ultimately it's your life. I'd be willing to put up with some drama to have definitive proof the abortion has taken place. You're leaving her after anyways, so deal with some awkwardness/…

Absolutely you go with her to the abortion. Don't forget that this is your kid too and you have every right to be there.

So? The onus is on the male to get his name removed. What if he doesn't even know he's on there? MRA's, why are we tolerating this? We should send a message to them that this type of treatment is unacceptable. Imagine if it was a list made for women...

Let's send a message that this kind of behavior is NOT okay. Imagine if it had been a list for women... the feminists would have burned the radio station down (figuratively)!

Messages like this need to become more common. Sure we can split hairs about the language used, but the general message is that equality is universal. That message needs to be the message we spread; time to end the "boys vs. girls" debate and instead have a "boys + girls" conversation.

This is no different than men talking about how annoying their wives are, how they can't "go out with the boys", etc. because of their wives. Same idea. I don't see the issue.

It sounds to me that both you and your partner need to learn how to treat each other with mutual respect. Neither one of you are right to yell/swear/bang things around.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
