How big of a risk is it, exactly? In the US, which has a high maternal death rate for a developed country, 21 out of 100,000 pregnancies result in death. That's a 0.02% risk of death. I'm willing to bet the risk of death in those 18 years for that man who has to pay child support but can't see his kids is higher, with the stress, heartbreak and chance of being sent to gaol.

I do think men are discriminated against in our legal system in general, but I was asking if they are in particular in the drug war. Interesting. Do you have any good sources on what percentage of males use or sell illegal drugs vs. females, however? In my personal experience I think it's more males, but nowhere near 4x as much. Yeah, subtitles are a pain but what can you do? It's better than dubs. The documentary is really interesting. I got over the subtitle annoyance after a few minutes and then I found it really enjoyable and it really helped me put into perspective how dishonest gender studies is. The last episode is a good summary of the series.

Which jurisdictions are we talking about here? I've heard of cases where men still had to pay child support even though they were raped (including the hole in the condom thing), but I've never actually heard of men OR women being prosecuted for rape in that case even though it clearly is. I suppose in Sweden maybe it happens, given that Assange is in trouble for purportedly removing a condom and penetrating a woman who only consented to protected sex.

As a drug rights activist I'm both horrified and unsurprised by this, but I don't really think this post belongs in /r/mensrights. Don't get me wrong, ellipses are great at times, but you do overuse them. Most of the time they made the pauses seem too long (as I said it in my head). I suggest you try using more commas and periods, and save the ellipses for when you want to create dramatic tension or build up to a punch line.

I have also been noticing a lot of SRS users commenting in /r/mensrights and similarly themed subreddits lately. The best thing you can do, if you see a sketchy comment, is read through their comment history to confirm your suspicions. Then, click the 'report' button on their comment and make sure to message the moderators with their username and why you are reporting them.

I think what it really comes down to, is acceptance. Feminists aren't used to much opposition so they don't have to spend as much time criticising their detractors, although they still do a lot. For an MRA, almost any time you mention your opinions on institutional sexism, people will react negatively. As a result, we've learnt to be a bit guarded and defensive. I think as the MRM gains more acceptance we'll see less focus on feminism and more focus directly on the issues.

It was wrong, but the question is how wrong? Age in numbers doesn't really say much about a girl's emotional maturity.
