This isn't the first time this has happened to them.I cannot nor would I want to argue against the fact that the taser bearing cops were unnecessary, out of line, etc. However I don't have much beef with the first stop beside the fact that the first cop was incompetent and her realization of this resulted in her escalating it all into the event the second stop was. I know this man did nothing wrong. I'm failing to communicate the sentiment I was trying to convey with my initial comment and don't think I have much chance of succeeding. I went to highschool in Keene and never thought that it was child abuse when I would have football practice or walk home from school. I found this guy's case to be below the threshold of things that make me fly into a rage. It's my goddamn neighborhood and understanding the people here and the atmosphere the cops are operating in when they come this far East made me feel that in this case that "yeah the cops were incompetent but a small stop was warranted after the call." It's cold enough out for it to be unusual to see a man with a SMALL CHILD walking at night. It's a neighborhood which the cops and anybody with access to the internet know has a large population of sex offenders.
