You must love yourself fully, every positive trait and every flaw, every accomplishment and every mistake, before you can possibly ever fully love another person. No matter how happy a person makes you feel, or how much they love you, you wont be able to completely feel it unless you are able to see the good they see in you. I promise you that the negative story you're playing on repeat about yourself is not the way the rest of the world sees you. With the clients who work with me (I'm a Life & …

Do you notice that in approaches 1, 2, 4, and 5 that you're either using closed-ended, yes/no questions or you're just throwing a statement out at them that doesn't require or prompt much of a response? "You look like an artist" (Nope, I'm not.) "You look like you're into fashion." (Nope, I'm not.) "You have a chill vibe." (Yep, I'm on break.) "You look really nice." (Thanks.) Notice that in approach 3, you asked the woman an open-ended question (not a yes/no) and it allowed her more room to ans…

No problem at all! And for the record, once you do go on that date, THEN you better damn sure tell her how fine she looks! ;) Wishing you all the best!

Thanks for the reply! It seems some people have very strong opinions about this process, which I can completely understand and respect! Everyone has their own experiences and understandably these suggestions may not be the right "fit" for all. I'm always an advocate of doing what works for you! I can understand your concern regarding #2, and you're right, you definitely don't want to come across as "a new friend." That said, it's not necessary to make comments about the womans appearance because…

Haha, well thank you for the downvote. I understand this suggestion doesn't match your particular opinion, but this example is something that has worked for clients I've helped, otherwise I wouldn't have brought it up! At the end of the day, it's just an example of the many, many others that are out there, and they aren't "one size fits all." I, too, enjoy reading but I personally would not mind if I was reading somewhere publicly, where I know other people are, and someone showed interest in wh…

I appreciate this comment! This is great perspective on the assumption/stack approach. Very cool to hear how it has played out for you and I do like the idea that, if executed well, it makes the interaction more playful and lightens the mood so conversation can flow more easily! In another comment I elaborated a bit on what I feel could potentially work when using this approach, and I completely agree with you that it can be taken too far, should not be relied on (especially for someone who is n…

Thanks for your reply! I appreciate your opinion and feedback. I agree with you completely, there is no reason to ever apologize for approaching someone, and if you were to do so it would come across as uncertain/potentially ill intended. The "apology" you're referring to in what I shared above was not regarding the approach, but was situational as the person being approached in the example scenario was in the middle of reading a book. It's common courtesy to excuse yourself/apologize if you're …

I admire your confidence in making these approaches! The first step is taking the first step. You don't know how the interaction will go until you give it a shot, and you wont learn how to improve unless you put yourself out there and practice. Major kudos to you, man! I'd like to offer some support from a female perspective/as a Relationship Coach to help "up" your game a bit- Don't make assumptions about people, unless you come up with something more broad, because when you're wrong, it is a m…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
