Unfortunately, your alignment with your high SMV won't make you more able to overcome this feeling that stops you from approaching. Nor will anything that pickup community offers. 1	Effin approach anxiety I've tried everything you can possibly imagine regarding AA. You name any kind of a "fix" to it and I give you 100% I've done it and it didn't work (or didn't last). BUT! I was so annoyed others' ways of handling AA didn't work that it dawned on me - why don't I come up with my own method that will work. And I did!
