Because the reason the boy was arrested was because he had sex with the cops daughter, and the cop was pissed. Justice/social planning is irrelevant in the case.

Not quite true. The bottom 25% are earning the same, the middle 50% have slightly higher earnings, an the top 25% have seen their earnings go way up. And smaller top percentage you look at, the more the income has gone up.

I'm sure it is. Otherwise the numbers would be much larger. Minimum wage was $1.65 in 1970.

I don't have any more of a problem with female coworkers than the male ones. The question could've been phrased in a gender-neutral way and would still apply. My answer is mostly submit (doesn't come up much with the female ones because there are so few), because I happen to be at the bottom of the ladder where I work.

One barometer is median household income — which rose 60 percent between 1970 and 2007 for married men, married women and unmarried women, but only 16 percent for unmarried men, according to the Pew data. So wages haven't actually been going up that much, just more people are working so household income is higher. that's a bit depressing.

Via the telegraph article, which this link summarizes: Researchers questioned 13,500 men and women aged between 20 and 45 from each country about gender, housework and childcare responsibilities. They didn't actually rate the husbands, they just rated how much housework they did, and estimated which ones would make the best according to their models. I call bullshit.

Really? It seems like CNN-style journalism to me. That is, scour blogs and forums for comments that people will likely find offensive. Or pick a few which take different points of view, and present them. If it is male-bashing, it's only bashing a specific type of male, the pickup artist. Which is dumb because its uninformed stereotyping, but hey, this is the internet.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
