I can definitely agree to the hypocrisy there. But I can say that I definitely know people who, outside of religious reasons, don't want to date someone that doesn't share that same value they have attributed to sex. You missed the point of what I've said entirely. This isn't about cheating. This is about how some people view sex as something intimate and very personal. And when you've had that many partners at 23, it's highly unlikely that the encounters were more than flings or hookups. Some people want to share that intimacy with someone who also views it as something to only give to someone you care deeply about

Because some people view sex as something actually valuable that they want to share with only people that they care deeply about. And they'd like that value to be held mutually.
