I felt it would radically change the situation and I called my attorney's office twice, I also posted to /r/legaladvice and they seemed to think since he wasn't with her it doesn't make a difference.

I just couldn't believe I threw $300 into the wind for less than 3 hours and it was a joke.. that's why I say it was such a waste. Aren't you glad they're letting us see our children? How nice of them to let us have our basic right.

Thank you for your encouragement. I was feeling especially negative when I posted this. It's hard to stay positive.

I'm getting the feeling that my lawyer is very lazy. I have printed, documented pictures of her partying every weekend. She "checks-in" on facebook and posts pictures with alcohol. Like, where's our son?

I hope he will be able to make that decision when he's older.

I'm thinking about firing my attorney and finding one that's more aggressive. Thank you for your encouragement.

How about the fact we're legally (and socially) EXPECTED to pay child support, by law yet because of our GENDER we don't get EQUAL time with our children by DEFAULT? Just blows my mind.

At first I was very very insulted about the supervised visitation, it's done by my mom and it has allowed her to start a great relationship with my son, life gives you lemons...

Similar situation here. I'm paying 600/mo while she lives with her mom, has no bills and parties nightly. Hair, nails, nice clothes..my son has his own room (which he hasn't stayed in yet) in my very nice house while he shares a bedroom with his mom at their tiny, smelly (4 dogs) house. I've read some articles on ashrink4men that lead me to believe she has BPD, particularly the one about "hoovering" and it has taken me a long time to finally shut her out. Are you still in the court process?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
