I was drunk as shit and she touched my dick while we were all lying there, cut me some slack. I would have turned her down if she'd tried to fuck me. I owed it to my buddy to let him know (at some time soon) what she did, or at least that's how I saw it.

No I wasn't going to fuck her, but I was letting her flirt. I wasn't hiding it from him, I was going to make sure I talked to him about it. They all left before I had a chance (plus I was drunk) so I would have done it the next morning. I started telling him on the phone when he cancelled our plans. He was a close friend of mine; I let her flirt but was absolutely going to make sure he knew that this had happened. We'd been like brothers most of our lives, of course I'd tell him.

Thanks Matty. TheDisillusionist here apparently didn't see my reasoning: I figured she was "allowed" to be flirty in their relationship, and I was going to make damn well sure I told my friend about it.

Great. Turns out my interests converge in the BROAD "field" of taking systems studied in human minds (behavior, cognition, neural systems) and trying to use those as inspiration for things which may be coded up. When I hear most deep learning "experts" talk about neuroscience or psychology, I can tell that they just don't get it very well, which makes me feel good about my background for studying this stuff. I really need to get better at CS though, that's where the practical stuff is.

Actually though, this POS lost his mind and was taken to a psychiatric hospital. He fucked up everyone's semester. At the end of the day, it was a public conflict between us. I'm fine, he's evicted, dropped out of school, was hospitalized twice, wrote racist shit on our walls, and I'm in the powerful position of deciding whether to press criminal charges against him for a restraining order violation. His ass started something, and got taken. I won.
