Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)So a republican governor vetoed a bill that was probably liked by their followers? I did not read the whole bill but it kinda sounds like some weird politics. also boo! for vetoing. | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 11:28 PM
Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)Yes I did read it. Do I think it has class calling boys "budding Patriarchs." Nope, not at all. But I think flipping the race that way misses the mark. Opinion | What MRAs Can Do for Girls We fought for young men in the patriarchy/matriarchy first. But budding matriarchs could use some help too. Just switching the genders, which is the most important delimiter between MRAs and feminism makes that statement already a lot different. Also, I personally do not consider the word patriarch as somethin… | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 11:20 PM
Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)Do you have any proof they are ALL anti-men? because if you have, please show me. I am not saying all feminists are good, just saying not all feminists are bad. I think Christina Hoff Sommers is still considered a feminist, is she not? She used to be quoted here a lot and did even right a book about how how bad parts of feminism is hurting boys. | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 10:55 PM
Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)Sorry, I am not american so I have no clue what that proposal is about. Where could I find a place to read up on about it? | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 10:15 PM
Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)You're assuming that feminists are not accomplishing what they set out to do, and somehow, you seem to be assuming that despite the most vitriolic man-hating diatribe, that feminists don't hate men. It boggles the mind. No, I do acknowledge that there are feminists that despise man. I am willing to agree there is a sizeable group. But I am not willing to believe that all feminist are inherently against men and mens quality of life. I am not willing to willing to believe all feminist are man-hati… | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 10:11 PM
Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)I disagree , feminism might be the neighbor throwing their leaves in your clean garden, but that does not mean they can not help you build a garden shed. | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 08:56 PM
Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)I would not consider a subreddit indicative of all feminists. | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 08:50 PM
Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)Feminism is the direct cause of a great many of these problems. I am not disagreeing with that to be honest. But making them see that they might be part of our problems, willingly or not, might be a good first step. So discussing the problems and ways to solve them to me seem to benefit not just men but society at least in some way. I also believe that trying to decrease male suicides, therapy for people with mental illnesses, therapy for veterans and such issues are not exactly opposing (non-ra… | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 08:45 PM
Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)Yeah, that is a bit of a problem. With proof making such a claim makes it seems less out there. I mean, you could very well be right but at this time I do not have much reason to believe so. I do agree tough that there is of course a split between the groups, but working together with feminists might make us rethink our opinions of each other. I remember we used to say here that feminism said it was also inclusive of men, but that they never seemed to work on any of mens issues. This might be a … | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 08:28 PM
Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)That is a bold claim. Do you have any statistics or reference for that? EDIT: A word. | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 08:17 PM
| -1 | Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)Yes, I agree the MRM are very underrepresented and need more of a voice. I also acknowledge that part of that might be because of feminists talking bad about the movement. But having more MRA members should not be the goal be the goal of this movement in my opinion, the true goal should be trying to solve the problems men face. If feminism would try to fix the same problems we want to fix wouldn't it be better to try and cooperate to get some improvements? | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 08:02 PM |
Never let your opposition define you. (My own post)I dont consider feminism the opposition. If they could help to solve some very real problems men have then honestly that would be very great. The biggest problem the MRA movement has in my opinion is actual solving of problems. If we can start solving some of the problems with their help that would be great as long as it is not ¨solving¨ problems. | /r/MensRights | 27/07/18 06:33 PM
I just couldn't take it anymore and had to engage.Of course there are straight men that have an interest in fashion, probably just not that much tough. | /r/MensRights | 24/01/17 11:49 AM
Why Google decided to focus on women with new emojiswell, they kinda fuck themselves in the ass by actually talking about the emoji's as male and female. If they would just pretend they are not a specific gender and then people just choose wich they think represent them better. | /r/MensRights | 21/10/16 03:54 PM
If it is illegal to have sex with a drunk woman, it surely means that it is also illegal for a woman to have sex while drunk. Would she be committing a criminal act by participating? Can we have a moment and think about the word digital in that context. So if you got a girlfriend that is not at your place and she starts sending nudes you first have to determine if she is intoxicated or not before going along with it? How are we supposed to make sure they are or are not sober? That scares me even more than the physical aspects of this law. | /r/MensRights | 06/10/16 05:00 PM
Google hides news stories about boys getting raped by women. Bing gives the right results. Most of the time I just use my urlbar, so I have it on duckduckgo but when I type g before my query it automatically goes to google | /r/MensRights | 05/09/16 12:27 PM
Google hides news stories about boys getting raped by women. Bing gives the right results.I try to use duckduckgo so hard but anytime I try to search something related to programming I always end up using google again. Google always seem to show what I actually search while duckduckgo has more problems with that. | /r/MensRights | 04/09/16 10:00 AM
I got in argument over false rape statistics, provided sources, but it was discredited for being dated... from 2010How can you even make a statement of "1 out of 3 or 4 women". It only shows you don't know how many of them actually are raped so why would we take that statement serious. | /r/MensRights | 29/06/16 07:58 AM
Amy Schumer objectifies men via tinder: "I'm shallow"I can understand what you say but I think we should not take comedic videos to seriously. It was obvious that there was a comedic purpose to the video with a platform that was made to judge on the first look. | /r/MensRights | 09/05/16 08:16 AM
Amy Schumer objectifies men via tinder: "I'm shallow"This is a video about an app that solely exists to objectify and judge people at first sight. I believe every tinder user does this and I dont see this as an actual problem even tough I dislike Amy. | /r/MensRights | 08/05/16 09:31 AM
