I deleted my first comment after reading the rest of the comments, your responses change my opinion entirely. He is attempting to shift all the blame onto you. He will continue to do so, for the rest of your life, he will not change. You yourself have a low self esteem. You continue to reiterate that ‘he is it,’ no matter what, but seriously, have some standards. You seem to be willing to do anything to be with this man, and thats not healthy at all. You said it yourself, ‘you’re in deep,’ you k…

Best piece of advice I can give you is be feminine. Its one of the biggest things that can make you instantly more attractive to people of both sexes and boost your confidence. Its not only looking feminine but having feminine energy. Smile more, be kind to others, have healthy boundaries, be graceful and empathetic. Its took a lot of practice and research for me to get the hang of it but its gotten much better over time. As for your looks, never give up on focusing on your appearance and puttin…

So I’m also a size six and of course it’s natural to want to be slim and more petite looking. However, you cannot spot fat, meaning, you cannot really choose where your body wants to store its fat; You have little control over that. As we age where we store fat tends to change. I store much more fat on my thighs now in my 20s than I did when I was younger. The size five and four jeans I wore in high school are too small for me now, even though I weigh even less than I did in my teens, my weight …

When it comes to game I sort of stray away from really trying to do so. I don’t intend to fool people into liking me or chasing me, nor should I need to. Also not every man is going to fancy you regardless, so when if comes to finding a man, a life partner, I would focus more on being your true authentic self. Be the best version of you, be healthy, have your mental health in order, be a mature woman for the right man. Be a high value woman, and you will attract a high value man. Of course you h…

God no and I’m so angry honestly that so many people, men and women have fallen for this fallacy. Its not that I’m angry at you, I’m upset with the misinformation. I’m also not sure why you were downvoted, this is a topic I wish would come up more often so people can set the record straight. Strength training is a fantastic way to stay healthy and be fit. You will look great, stand taller, and feel great. I have scoliosis and my physical therapist has been recommending me tons of back strengthen…

This makes a lot of sense, asking questions and reconciling them to care about you, great advice. I think with people that really do care about you and don’t have too many personal issues themselves keeping them from caring about you and acting too insecurely, this tactic could work. However, unfortunately I’ve used this tactic with a few family members who have said insensitive comments and it hasn’t worked. Thier ego just gets on the way and they blame me, or try to guilt trip me. I cannot tel…

I mean I suppose if he’s implying you should somehow be grateful he didn’t lead you on, then yes I believe inappropriate to say. It doesn’t completely sound like he was implying that, but I don’t know him or whats considered normal communication for the two of you. You could bring it up to him again calmly. It doesn’t have to be an argument accusing him of things, just let him know how that comment made you feel and listen to his response. Being calm will help to keep the two of you rational and…

I have heard many comments on this sub about how being feminine is key after hitting the wall. Have grace, elegance, and a healthy, happy mind body and soul. Be secure with yourself and learn to enjoy building up yourself and others. Tap into your feminine instincts. Be an empathetic warm woman for your husband to come home to. Have a passion for something, anything, have something to pour all your passion and energy to outside of those around you. Ultimately we are all going to age someday no m…

Yes, you can still be considered a valid hard working house wife without kids. I am not one, although I stay home and do all the at home tasks for my bf and take care of my dog. My daily tasks usually keep my days pretty full. My family also highly values career oriented women over women in the home. While I’m fine with their differing opinions, sometimes it can be down right hurtful and unnecessary. They’re distaste for my profession will not sway me now or in the future when I do become an act…

I think with age gap relationships theres always somewhat of a sweet spot. Too old and there might be some issues that they likely are not willing to resolve, or they are divorced. They may not be in a relationship at such an older age because of said issues and may also be seeking a younger person to put up with these issues. To young someone might not know what they want yet and be to indecisive to really commit. Its about what works for each individual at the end of the day. I like to think o…

I think it would depend upon how long each task takes you and thats different for everyone. For instance, I don’t dry my delicate clothes in the dryer, I hang them to dry, so thats and extra little thing to add. Remember all these little things add up, they are all important to the big picture at the end of the day. If your day is completely loaded with housework, child care, on top of full time or parttime work, there should definitely be some at home tasks he will be contributing towards. You …

To-do lists have helped me be a lot more productive. Certain tasks are prioritized over others. I try to look at it a few times a day to remind myself to stay on track. I also try to limit the time I put into scrolling through my phone especially in the morning when I should be getting up and doing chores.

Imo, it really shouldn’t take longer than two years to propose, with the exception of those younger than 20 in most cases. Beyond two years, especially for women, you’re spending your most fertile years with someone who may or may not commit and all those years you spent investing into this person will have been wasted if it doesn’t work out, you’ll have to take from it is hopefully a few lessons learned. And the later you are to the dating game after 20, the harder it is to find someone. I’m no…

Idk why I actually feel more feminine with a shorter bf… maybe its because of his personality he’s actually much more dominant and masculine than myself and it shows. Don’t get me wrong I’ve been a bit bothered by it in the past but it didn’t bother me that much to where I couldn’t eventually work through it. I think a lot of it was really just my own insecurities and trying to find things I didn’t like to push him away, but I knew that wasn’t rational or right. We get looks all the time but we …

You could layer a few of your skirts underneath with warm leggings underneath. If your open to it, you could also consider wearing some very feminine looking jeans or trousers. I think paired with a nice blouse or some other feminine items you can still be very feminine and wear pants. Also in regards to practicability, idk how much yard work or hiking you do, but I wouldn’t want to be headed up the mountain in a skirt. I’m in WA and I take my dog out daily so my hiking boots or athletic shoes a…

I can understand not wanting to move across the country without some serious level of commitment like an engagement. I’m sure theres plenty to consider regarding what things might keep tied to your current area, like a job or family of your own but you didn’t go into too much detail there. How long is he going to be living in state? I agree with other commenters, it might be a great opportunity to live with him closer to home to see if you really want to take the next step forward by living with…

I was personally just be straight up about what I looking for. If he’s put off by you trying to avoid wasting your time with a guy who is not compatible, move onto the next. I was straight up about looking for a relationship leading to marriage. Soon after before the first date I’d also mention I’m looking for husband that can support a one income household as me as a housewife right when they message me. Call it blunt, or too soon, but it worked for me and I found what I’m looking for and more.…

Its natural to feel that way, especially with the right guy. After all thats the ultimate point of sex, to make a baby. I can understand where your coming from with being worried about being infertile. I lost my period for three years due to anorexia. I eventually got it back although the years that I didn’t have it I was worried I’d never have the opportunity to be a mother if I wanted. Its obviously ideal in a rational sense to plan to become pregnant with your bf or spouse preferably however …

I think you should aim to be a healthy woman. But I wouldn’t aim to be constantly within the ‘male gaze.’ You should aim to be yourself first, feminine and healthy physically. Personally, I keep myself healthy physically , clean, and well groomed. I dress feminine and causal out and about. I wouldn’t aim to be every man’s type or the stereotypical ideal woman, thats not realistic and you’ll fail especially as you age. At the end of the day you have to own being yourself and you should be proud o…

Depends on the couple and the situation. Personally, I prefer to call or video chat once a day when we are apart, thats it. Or once every other day. Any less or no contact for more than two days I would see as not as frequent as I’d like. I dated a guy in a ldr for a year and we video chatted about once every other day, and the other days we’d text like a meme to each other, not really having a text conversation, thats exhausting at least to me. At the beginning we texted a lot more but later we…

Leave it and walk. Don’t answer texts from him, don’t try to be friends. If he was into you he’d make an effort, whether he is a bad texter or not. He’s not making it clear he likes he because he doesn’t. And he’s not pushing you away because, well, your there, and he likes having causal sex with you, why would he? I think it would be better for him to just stop leading you on and drop you but he doesn’t do that. As you said, they always come back, not to commit to you, but just to take from you…

I’m so glad you reached out, you can now began to unpack and evaluate this situation before you decide to commit to this. As I kept reading it just kept getting worse and worse… I cannot believe this guy fooled you into paying rent, working and doing all the cooking and cleaning! I would have ran fast, this sounds extremely unfair. This is a serious issue that needs to be brought up again. There needs to be consequences to her behavior. Its not okay for her to belittle your rules and especially have your children think thats okay. Right now she laughs because she thinks she can get away with it.

Post this on r/justnomil. I do not believe you are being unreasonable here. You and your husband are the parents and what you say goes. What worries me, possibly even more than the food she is feeding your kids, is that grandma is teaching the kids that mom’s rules and boundaries are not to be taken seriously. Your MIL has lied to you and I can understand completely that you wouldn’t want them to be alone with her. Have you tried talking to your MIL and your husband about this situation in parti…

You know your family better than your bf. I wouldn’t let him push you into opening up this can of worms. He may have a different idea about what family means and how a family should interact. This shouldn’t however keep you from deciding what you know is best in this situation, don’t ignore those instincts of your. I’ve cut off most my toxic family. My drunk mom seven year ago, and my enabler dad about nine month ago. No regrets. No more stress about their bs.

I agree with this. Someone who is completely striving to be alpha is not an ideal partner. Sure the alpha male can be sexy, and alluring with his dark triad traits, it can me attractive to our female primitive minds and they know this, although, its no ideal for a long term successful relationship. I’d argue any women whose putting up with something like that either has no choice, she’s too young/immature to know any better or she has no self worth at all. With that said, women should aim to par…

I really hate to say it but this is true. It means us women who would otherwise be considered reletively average or possibly below average in a world full of healthy weight women are actually above average in a world with the majority of women overweight/obese. I personally would consider myself average for my age group and area. Although I really think if women the women in my area were more fit I’d be considered below average. For online dating, I would weed men out right away; If they don’t fit your criteria or possess any deal breakers for you, don’t waste your time. Although with some things definitely be open minded, don’t be afraid to test things out, but don’t settle because you think you ‘love’ him when its all too obvious you two are not a compatible team for marriage. For me personally, I was up front about being a conservative woman who wishes be a stay at home mom someday right at the beginning of the chat.…

Not at all. Lifting weights can be very healthy for your body. My bf encourages me to do it. And no building a little muscle will not make you ‘bulky.’ For a woman to look bulky from lifting she has to be really trying. I lift weights probably about twice a week and I feel my posture is much better and my body handles physical stress much easier.

I think men are looking for a compatible partner that makes them happy, better people. Women are also looking for that as well but what makes men compatible with women, and women compatible with men are completely different things. I also think personality is a major aspect as well. I would argue men are much more likely to put up with more from a woman who is much more physically attractive than he is, although women are more likely to focus or put up with a man based off different different fa…

I’ve personally dated outside my ethnicity and culture about 90% of the time and thats been the best results for me. We end up complementing each other the best in my experience compared to others. However we do have similar values that make us successful. ‘How well they communicate with their parents’ This point depends and I believe would need to be elaborated on. My mom is an alcoholic and my dad is an enabler. I really had no choice but to set boundaries and practically communicate with both my parents like children especially when my dad had his anger fits. I don’t talk to either of them anymore but I choose to judge people on their own character, not by how their parents are. And if their parents are immature themselves I really don’t blame …

I’m also very socially awkward. Its gotten better over the years as I’ve become more confident in myself and figured out who I am; what I believe and what I choose to stand for. Yeh if the thought of dating repulse you I’d definitely work on diving deep into why you feel that way. At the beginning of my journey, it was difficult for me to identify as to what I felt and why. ‘This has always been a critique of AFBB. TRP views AFBB as women settling for a lesser man as she loses her market value.’ Thank you for putting this into words. I’ve always thought this scrolling through TRP subreddit and thought even as a 23 year old woman, desiring a guy with some beta traits is not bad but good. ‘Women view it as maturing and having a better sense of what a relationship requires.’ I would also argue that it does take age and experience for a woman to mature just like any ma…

I think you should work on your self esteem first. Can you elaborate on why you feel unattractive? Is it your looks? Is it because of your personality? Are you an INTJ female? I’m INFJ, though I’ve tested INTJ in the past as well and I always score high on introversion and intuition. I think its great you own and embrace your sexuality, however consider having sex with the right man and not just anyone. If it helps any, idk where you are dating or finding these men but if its online, consider video chatting first. Make sure you know what you want beyond sex and be able to have the will power to walk away for what you really want in the end, a long term relationship. It may take months or years, but stay single and save all that energy for the right guy.

I also used to have a ‘chronic,’ blushing problem around the opposite sex. I can say what helped me was practice and pushing through the conversation. You will get people that will mention it and call it put to tease you or make you more embarrassed, I just pushed through it as if it was normal and said I know. I’m not exactly sure why this happened to me. I think a lot of it had to do with me not being comfortable in my own skin. For me working in a male dominated field that I excelled at helpe…

‘If he relies on you, and gets worse at it instead of better, that's the red flag.’ That what I am afraid of. It might also help to date within your league. If your dating really fit people you might wanna ask yourself why they are into you as someone who has a higher bmi. Leagues especially in regards to looks are important to a degree although you also have to have your values straight and know what you want out of a man.
