No worries! You live and learn. At least thankfully this time you didn't do anything that's too hard to undo.

I agree to an extent, but I wouldn't necessarily call people LV for not liking a lot of common things (to an extent!). I'd instead consider this an incompatibility. No harm, no foul, no value judgment, they're just incompatible.

I don't know, I think it really depends on what kind of art you want to make. 99% of the time, I'd say that looking at the stuff solely as a source of inspiration is terrible, because it's still making the men (formerly) in your life the center of the art. However, looking at that stuff as a reminder of YOUR strength, YOUR resilience, and YOUR growth from who you were before could be very healing and yield great art. Just make sure it's about you, not them. For example, contrast Ariana Grande's …

The only time I'd say dating for potential is normal is when he's in school, and you're in school.

I hate how big of a cultural icon Playboy bunnies are. I hate when women dress like Playboy bunnies for Halloween, knowing about all the types of abuse that went on at the Playboy mansion. And I hate how the Playboy bunny logo is getting plastered across all types of clothes being sold by massive fast fashion brands, ready for teenage girls to wear.

That poor child, I hope the OP reports him to the authorities and that the sexting stops. I can't imagine what that poor girl's life will be like in the future when she grows up and realizes that she was groomed by a pedophile.

It really depends on the situation. My boyfriend has a man cave where he keeps his pottery/bottle collection and has a desk to take meetings from. I have a woman cave where I can work on my art projects or work and display my handbag collection! In cases like this I don't see any problem with it. The stereotypical depiction of a man cave is extremely pathetic though.

Yup yup yup. In high school I truly believed that all people were people, and we could all make emotional connections with others regardless of our genitals. I quickly realized that that's not what men believe, so women shouldn't give them the benefit of the doubt. Our lives could depend on it.

In college when I was broke, I was convinced my future engagement ring would be $3000 at most. Currently the casual jewelry I wear is worth that much on a normal day. Now that my boyfriend and I both make money, price is not really the most important thing anymore—he said he would get me my favorite ring/stone, which we think will cost around $30-50k. For reference this is about 1-1.5 months salary for each of us. I would probably not go over this amount.

I agree, the amount of hate FDS gets on other subreddits is insane... especially when the overarching advice in FDS is "leave the situation as fast as you can if you do not like it". We're not tricking, manipulating, or hurting men whatsoever. The mental gymnastics that people go through to equate this subreddit to incels is astonishing.

If he has an AVERAGE return of 7% every year, he'll reach $10M in 4 years, without needing to contribute anything... let's say 5 because he will spend a bit of his nest egg over the 5 years if he doesn't work. This guy is a piece of shit!

There are 7 billion people in the world, it's statistically very likely you'll be able to find someone who you get along more with. Plus if he's made you cry before, then (in my opinion) that would taint all the good memories. Onto new possibilities!

I wouldn't mind if my boyfriend was working in a lower-paying job, but he would have to be at the same or higher level than me in his field. I do believe there are are lots of jobs that don't pay as well as mine, but are just as "respectable" (aka do something useful for the world or people). For example, research, teaching, mechanical engineering, etc. The reason for same-or-higher level is because I've waded through a lot more shit than men have to deal with in order to get my degree and find …

I think there can be a bit of leeway here. If a man makes video games part of his identity a.k.a. calling himself a Gamer, then that's a pretty strong indicator that he places too much importance on games. This is why I dumped 3 of my 4 exes, they got depressed for some random reason and took up gaming. Sometimes I'd wake up in the middle of the night to hear them screaming at some 13 year old kid over killing some monsters or something. If he's just a casual player (doesn't always need the late…

Your description of A and B is obviously biased toward B, haha. Aside from that, I would definitely not date A because if his family is the only thing that is significantly good about him, then I might as well date his mom, dad, or siblings. I would grow to resent someone who isn't interesting to me. I'd also rather date someone who worked their way to the top, rather than someone born there. This may be because I am in the same boat (grandparents never went to college, half of my uncles and aun…

I'm so sorry to hear this. It's almost a universal female experience, but it definitely should not be. The only advice I have for you is to hang out only with other women. Is it possible for you and your female friends to have a ladies-only pool party in the future, for example?

I'm already dating someone, but after I found FDS, I lost interest in Instagram, shopping, clubs/bars, and TV/movies. Once I started noticing the creepy way women are conditioned to normalize accepting less in life, everything was ruined for me. I guess my substitute addictions or ways to pass the time would be 1) food shopping and cooking new recipes, and 2) taking courses on coursera, and 3) financial planning.

Pre-FDS, I thought the plummeting birth rate in Japan was a Huge Problem. Now that I know more about the world, I realize that this is how it should be. This is what happens when women exercise their choice. Good on those ladies!

As an average looking lady, I have to say that it COMPLETELY depends on your environment. In places where I fit in and look just like everyone other woman out there (hair color, height, facial features, etc), I am invisible to men. No one approaches me, no one asks me for anything, etc etc etc. In places where people of my race are in the minority/exotic (🤮), it's almost disgusting how fast men swarm to me and my friends to ask for directions, catcall, compliment, or strike up random conversatio…

My friend (23) used to brag to me about how her boyfriend (42) was so much more accomplished in his field than mine was. A few weeks ago she said that her man pulled a back muscle during sex. That's what a 20 year age gap will do to ya!

LOL the only men who called me a gold digger were men who made less than me... every guy I know who makes the same or more than me is generous with money, even with friends. We'll all go out and take turns to pay for dinner, or drinks, or whatever. Counting pennies is tiring, and if I make enough to be this generous with my money, WHY would I be with a man who isn't?

I've been seeing a lot of tik toks that start off with "Ladies, this is your sign to become a sugar babyyyyy" and then they follow up with screenshots of some guy venmoing the (gorgeous and young) woman increments of $30-200, videos of new Chanel bags and Gucci shoes, and fancy dinners, as if that's desirable or something. It sickens me, I am about their age and it's nearly heartbreaking for me to see them be so proud of that.

In college I dated a guy for a bit, but broke up with him because he played too many video games. Then he shit-talked me to the rest of our friend group, telling everyone how I ruined his life, how he missed me, how he had been in the process of trying to spend time with me and make me happy (yeah yeah yeah). Later on he got cheated on at a party in front of his own eyes by the next girlfriend, got super depressed, and got rejected from all the jobs he applied to. I have no clue what he's doing …

Ah, your comment reminded me of that Vietnamese American girl (she JUST turned 18) that was in the news recently for suffering a botched boob job. She ended up with severe brain damage due to incorrect anesthesia and now she may have to live her life in a vegetative state. I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on this! I agree that the argument that "it's not hurting anyone so mind your own business" is incredibly wrong. I'm in my mid 20s and I know a couple people who got plastic surgery. Because of this, other people in my friend group started getting curious about it, when before, the thought probably would have never crossed their mind.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/05/21 09:46 PM

I started watching random clips of K-dramas on youtube, and the amount of middle and high school girls in these shows who beg their mom for plastic surgery is alarming. What's worse is that these child characters have classmates who were able to go through it, and the girls who aren't allowed/can't afford to do plastic surgery are portrayed as feeling left out. Makes me so worried for the future. A 15 year old should not be thinking about how to change their face to be attractive.

But when I told a girl at a party to watch out for this creepy guy who has previously followed me around before, he tried to confront me about “spreading gossip”. Dear, you have been an adult for 1 year. Think about what you've been able to do in the last year, and think about what you'll be able to do in the next 50 years of your life. 50 years is a LONG time. I'll mostly address your 2nd question. What you said about being too old to change your major scares me. You are NOT too old to change your major. My mom got her bachelors and masters in her 20s... and got her PhD in her 40s. She's now a professor in a field completely unrelated to her first bachel…

Because younger men probably don't have as much experience and maturity in relationships. Older single women probably don't want to date someone they have to teach and coach. They would probably also want to do different things. For example, a 45-yo woman who is successful is probably looking to go on fancier, relaxing vacations compared to a 25 year old man who would probably think that backpacking across Europe in hostels is the coolest thing you can do.

I'm going to try to address your bullet points in order. I graduated from college 2 years ago, and I work in engineering, so I think my advice might be helpful to you. Don't be put off by your school not being a "brand name" school. Once you accumulate some work experience after you graduate (or you go to postgrad school), it won't matter what undergrad school you went to. Experienced this so often as a gal in a guy-heavy field. It's not that I was particularly desirable, it was that they hadn't had much interaction with women, so any time I spent meaningful time with them in groups, I always got relationship-zoned. What made it worse was that their friends would badmouth me and pressure me into reciprocating feelings... all the while I literally had a boyfriend and had never hung out with them one-on-one, lol. The worst time was when I got really close to these 2…

I think in Mexico in 2020, the women went on strike to protest gender-based violence. It made me so sad that literally all they wanted was for assault and murder against women to be investigated fairly. They were begging for the bare minimum. We have a long way to go and it's so discouraging but I'm glad I have FDS and its members to talk to. :(
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/04/21 01:48 AM

Yeah, this is super discouraging. Every single time I see a post about women’s struggles (usually made from a feminist IG or FB account), men brigade the comments, saying “well I hope you recognize the men’s/boys’ struggles too. Because equality.” It used to piss me off so much, I would start comment flame wars and basically tell them to make their own post if they care so much about men’s issues. I’m so sick of this shit. I don’t support men’s rights posts when I see them now, I just scroll on …

Agreed. These girls should block, report, and delete. People who you are forced to interact with (classmates at your school) need to face consequences for their actions. I am so tired of women and girls' educations facing interruptions from disgusting male assholes, while the perpetrators can continue on with no impact to their academic career.

This is exactly the reason I started listening to country music. I wouldn't say all of it is better, but there are quite a few higher-profile country artists that mostly sing about how much they appreciate nature, their wife, their kids, beer, fishing, etc. Sure, you still get a bunch of them that sing about long tan legs and shaking that sugar, but as a female, the lyrics and themes in the music are a lot more tolerable to me. The larger female artists also feel a lot more real, and the things …
