attention is as good as respect. Attention and interest from a man are my validation This explains about 90% of Instagram users my favorite sentence is 'seek respect not attention' If I have daughters I am teaching this to them right along side their ABCs

Well first off, congrats on shaking off feminism. Secondly, sleeping with 5 guys doesnt make you a whore, and it does not eliminate you from the running for high quality men. Now, as for how to tell a guy you want a serious relationship, there are a few ways to get this done... On-line dating: Just include something like "Not looking to get married tomorrow, but only interested in committed relationships" For someone you met off-line: You might have to go on one or two dates first before you hav…

By enforcing the attitude that: "No one owes you anything. If you want something you have to earn it." And if theyre resistant to this truth, remind them that "The lifespan of 'im a vicdum gimme stuff' ends after college and will leave them woefully unprepared for a life where what you produce equals what you get.

I meant that the prior impetus was that to get ahead economically (to say nothing of societally), marriage was almost always part of how that was achieved. But in the 60's welfare became eligible to low-income mothers only if there was no man in the house. The impetus to get/remain married was removed then because now the government would be supplying the economic stability that marriage previously provided.

Why so many babies out of wedlock? Why aren't people planning their families and creating a solid foundation of commitment before bringing children into the mix? I don't consider myself a very conservative person but this is one sticking point that really baffles me. In a word, "economics". Back before the Welfare State, black marriage rates were actually higher than white marriage rates. This is for many reasons but in no small part because marriage, at the time, was a key step toward economic …

What are the qualities that those men look for? Physically attractive (fitness and attire/cosmetics) Pleasant disposition (no man likes a sourpuss) Outward femininity (no need to abandon all "masculine" interests like sports/shooting/etc, but it should be easy to call you feminine) Few sexual partners (self explanatory) Under 30 (being over 30 isnt a death sentence, but time is no longer on your side by then) There are more, of course, and not all dominant men desire these, but these are the one…

You want guys to approach. Thats fine. But you have to understand that thats a lot of pressure for some guys. So try this instead: get into a position where they have an excuse to talk to you. My last relationship started over a game of Cards Against Humanity. Not only is it a hilarious ice breaker, but with so many people laughing and having fun it eliminated any social pressure about talking to her.

My marriage lasted 5 years. If, before I served her papers, there was anything that could have saved it it would have been this: She sits down with me and says she needs to tell me some things she's been thinking about. She then goes on to acknowledge all the things that I've tried to tell her that are hurting me and hurting us. Then tells me how I can help her help me help us. And she does all this without spiraling into excuse-making. Ask him what his biggest source of unhappiness is with your…

I think my religion and political views are so central to who I am that anyone can see it, and with most of the men around me not wanting that, they stay away. This sounds a lot like the inverse of feminist-speak, "These fuckboys cant handle a strong independent woman". And I'm betting this "You need to accept me" attitude bleeds out in your interactions with men. Food for thought.

From the way the comic is set up I'm left to believe that this is a stay at home mom. Which means that the husband works all day out of the home and the wife works within the home. So how exactly is this a problem, especially since the husband was entertaining his guest? Should he have left her alone to go into the kitchen? That'd have been rude.

You seem pretty reasonable. I could politely argue with some of your supporting points, but you've clearly demonstrated that, as you put it, it is stupid to see things in "black and white" with a single cause. I think it would be fun to argue the finer details here over a beer or two.

Dont wanna hijack the thread but I so seldom get the opportunity to speak to an open minded feminist. Since you mentioned using scientific data to inform you views can you give me a "True/False" (or any thoughts you have) on the following: "1 in 5 women will get raped in college" "Women only make 77 cents to the man's dollar" "There are only a few female CEOs/Politicians because misogyny"

Thank you for the reply. You didnt quite answer my question, though. Let me rephrase it because it may not have come across clearly: Only using traditional vernacular, please explain why it is important for women in your culture to marry younger and not put off finding a mate until their 30s. Please explain what you'd call it, using traditional verbiage, when a woman uses games or little tests to gauge whether the man who is pursuing her is a desirable suitor. Thx

a real traditionalist culture emphasizes qualities like integrity, loyalty, honor, family values, respect for elders, respect for oneself, following customs and traditions This is all correct. But most traditional cultures do not have a way to discuss specifics like 'the wall', or 'shit tests' without unspecific (and often unhelpful) euphemistic language. If such things did exist, then there would be no need to create or use neologisms. If I am incorrect about your culture, in particular, and it…

According to this theory, doesn't this mean men also "settle" for the "beta-type" woman who adores him, when he would actually prefer the 8-9 because they're more attractive? If attractiveness was the only criteria for long-term partnership then yes, this would be an example of settling. But we all know that there is more a man or woman chooses than simple hotness. Therefore I dont see this as "settling" but more of a process of maturation of the priorities and criteria an man uses in mate selec…

I'd go with No.1 once you two reach the intimate stage of your relationship. Relevant personal story: The last woman I was in love with was a woman who spent several years growing unhealthily fat and had recently (like, last year or two before I met her) revamped her life and became very fit and strong. I'm a martial artist and a realist so I've got some opinions on this matter that are going to ruffle a few feathers here. Why is this course not being offered to men? Because the goal is to prevent women from being raped, and because many women who are on the fence about going to any kind of self defense class will opt out of going if they know there are going to be intimidated by male presence. Those are the fucking facts, gentlemen. Now we can argue that men can get raped too and it is bullshi…

I'm 32 (technically a millennial but my values more resemble Gen-X). I'd be happy with a working wife until we had children. From birth until the kid goes to school I'd prefer that she be a stay at home mom. While the kid is at school I'd be fine if she worked. If she was always gonna be a stay at home mom then I'd have some pretty old-school expectations: house mostly clean, dinner ready sometime shortly after I got home, etc.

There's not a single man in the world who makes his decisions without emotion playing a part. It's just not how humans work. But I get what youre saying, though. If I'm reading you right you're really asking: are men more emotionally stolid in their decision making process? And to my experience this answer is generally "yes". No, you're not crazy for wanting to serve your man. Hopefully your man reciprocates in his own way, too.

Here's my take: True, hypergamy is a quasi sexual arms race as you described above. But the point where the rubber meets the road is that only 20% of men and women will be in the top 20%. The rest are in the lower 80% and it doesnt help a man or woman who is a "4" that he or she is worth a "10", or that he or she should hold out for such a person. To do otherwise would be to set that lower SMV individual up for perpetual failure, singlehood, resentment, and a very bitter, bitter, life.

You don't seem to understand how "general truths" work. Let me demonstrate: "Humans have two legs". The is a "general truth". It is applicable in the majority of cases. But if we operated on what you're suggesting then the above general truth is "invalid" because there are some humans with one leg and even some with three or even four. Seriously, man, it's not all about you.

If she had not given up full-time work, she would now be earning up to £105,000-a-year and would be entitled to a generous final salary pension, it was claimed, but instead she is limited to working as a supply teacher. Fine, let's say that's true. But if her ex husband had not offered to give her a free ride then he could have invested that money, himself, and would have amassed a huge fortune by now. So by the same logic she owes him some big fucking money.

I fell in love with an alpha female. It was an intense relationship that escalated exceptionally fast but I was certain she was the one I wanted to be with. Unfortunately she loved the life she had more than she loved me; she didn't want to change all that and become a wife and mother (as she knew that I wanted). Losing her was the worst thing that ever happened to me...but she was right to break up with me. We just wanted different lives.

I'm actually impressed. One thing feminism is good at is taking something that has nothing to do with women, and showing us how women are harmed or marginalized by it. See these two guys? That's sexist because you wouldnt allow two topless women! See this art? That's sexist because it is of food and the Patriarchy conditions society to see women as the primary homemaker. See this man holding a rock? "Rocks" are a euphemism for "testicles" and this picture implies that only biological men have te…

How many couples do you know live together for years and years (usually the woman hoping to lead to marriage) then break up? With the rise of relationship culture (hook-ups, cohabitation without marriage, transient situations) I think it's up to the woman to protect herself from unfortunate situations like the one listed above. Women don't have to marry anymore because they can make their own living and choose to make their own life choices. This I dont necessarily think of as a total negative. It gives women more choice, which is a good thing (albeit confusing for some). Traditionally minded men have more difficulty marrying nowadays because the economy is in shambles and a lot of high paying jobs are given to single women due to feminism. The military already does this to a large extent. The problem is that in a severe situation where the US would ACTUALLY NEED a draft, there would be probably 0.5% of female draftees who are deemed acceptible for combat roles while every other female draftee was put into a non-combat role... Roles that were occupied by men. So that man loses his non-combat job, gets handed a rifle, and gets stuck out on the front line.

Best - No draft. Better - Male draft Bad - Female draft Now before before you all downvote me into oblivion, please understand I am coming at this from a purely objective point of view. Women suck at frontline combat. From my POV it is more about cultural compatibility than race or ethnicity. As a white dude it wouldnt be too hard to find cultural compatibility with a british, or french or german woman; and that's only among the whites. That's to say nothing of the hispanic, asian, etc cultures. Again, it call comes down to cultural compatibility: Does she want the same things in a relationship as I do? Will she want to raise our children in a way that I do? Does she have the same expectations about what marr…

Ive always considered gender politics generally distasteful. But my wake-up moment was when, during marriage counseling, our therapist advised that I try to give her total and complete control over when we have sex. The problem was...thats exactly as it always has been. Her suggestion was that I, for 2 weeks, not initiate ANY kind of non-platonic intimacy with my wife; the aim being that she will feel more in control and more confident, and she would initiate things with me. Why is it odd? While I take advantage of the human ability to learn from the hardships of others, I let my own experiences guide the majority of my decisions and beliefs. You seem to misunderstand my position. I do not believe that marriage laws are just fine the way they are. I believe the way the laws have been rewritten places unfair advantage upon women and unfair risks upon men. And I believe they need reform to provide equal protection under the law, as required by our jurisprudence. Self defense laws vary from state to state, so YMMV. But if youre talking to the police, or are called before a judge, it is easier for you/your lawyer to argue that you were trying to get away (rather than fight) if witnesses can say "no he didnt punch him". and an open-handed strike is still a strike And the prosecution will try to argue this. How else do you define the point? By the argument the movie tries to make. If I were to use your logic then... The Shawshank Redemption's point is that sometimes innocent guys go to prison. Finding Nemo is about a hungry barracuda. The Pursuit of Happyness wants everyone to know that being a stock broker can make you rich. The "point" of any movie is very rarely catalyst that sets the events in motion.

To then blame them for that violent response as if it is the origin of the problem seems odd to me. This is complete nonsense. Most of the victims of Islam's violence is other Muslims. If your apologia was true then they would be targeting military personnel, not gay guys in a club. But as you just said it (paraphrasing)... theyre raised to believe theyre being persecuted by Christians. So the origin of this problem is still them!
/r/MensRights13/06/16 04:45 PM

I dont have any intention on playing into their delusion and trying to defend a "christian army" since our military does not should "JESUS IS GREAT!" before killing their enemies. /r/MensRights13/06/16 04:22 PM
2

No one here thinks that is what you said. But what you did say is often said by people when theyre trying to defend Islam. It is a red-herring they use to try to spread out the blame, as if religious murders centuries ago have anything to do with modern day terrorism. I was asking you to clarify whether you are trying to spread out the blame, or if you readily condemn Islam's use of violence. Please clarify your position.
/r/MensRights13/06/16 03:53 PM

I dont care about the violence that Christianity or Judaism wrought hundreds or thousands of years ago. I care about the thousands of people who are getting murdered now. Wait a minute? Trudeau accidently elbows some chick while muscling through a crowd and now theyre all turning on him like he was a wife beater? lol. i wonder how many "im a feminist"'s he'll have to say on TV to get out of this one.

What is civility predicated on but a base level of respect for your fellow man?
/r/MensRights20/05/16 01:23 PM

Respect is earned. True. But you get a lot farther by assuming the other person is respectable until they prove otherwise. Doesnt matter if hes a jock or a geek, or if she's a career girl or a housewife. Jussayin.

Yes. Because the following events have to happen to justify jailtime for a woman in this case: Man accused of rape has to be found not-guilty. Woman has to be proven to have deliberately lied (and not just having actual buyers remorse) These two conditions would preclude a woman from being wrongly convicted of, and serving time for, a false rape accusation

True. Though even more mind-boggling when they argue from reality, regarding women's physical limitations, like this one does.

She also states the best reason for a male only draft (paraphrasing): if a nation is forced to conscript its citizens then you want the citizens who are best able to kill the fuck out of its enemy and not get injured just by going over a 10 ft wall in full gear. Plus...you know...if they ever drafted women then you know these women wouldnt get put into combat roles. Theyd be relegated to non-combat roles, thus pushing more men into the line of fire.

Well, you might start off by realizing youre not the only woman who wants men to stand up for themselves. In fact r/redpillwomen is full of girls like you. You should check out the sub; I think you'll find them interesting. Next, come to terms that you can't be their own personal Jesus. A guy that is content to have a woman walk all over him is not going to change just because you tell him to. I know, I know. I just want to tell you not to spent your energy where it wont do any good. After that,…

Go ahead and downvote the fuck out of me, but I distinctly recall how much this sub pitched a fit when the media (Guardian/HuffPo/etc) did the same with moms during Fathers Day. If we're gonna be better than feminists and the gynocentric media, then we really shouldnt do the same shit they do.

Sigh... Look, putting women in the draft selection is a shit decision because it can only result in one of two possible scenarios: .1. Women get drafted and put in combat roles. - And lets see how that's worked out under the latest testing. .2. Women get drafted and put into non-combat roles. - And more men are pushed into combat roles now that the safer support jobs are gone. Gender politics aside, when you are selecting your tribe's protectors you want the ones that are stronger, more aggressi…

I remember playing Star Wars the Old Republic, a few years ago (back when Bioware had a good rep). I chose to create a female Jedi because I liked the character designs for the Twileks. I'd have been furious if Bioware just changed my character to male without giving me any choice about it.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: yes, you as an individual are welcome. but dont expect any feminist ideas to be welcome. Posting stuff like that here will result in lots of individuals telling you all the different ways they believe youre wrong. This, however, is a good thing intellectually; hug-boxes like the feminist subs on reddit dont do a thing to encourage actual thought and they actively discourage dissenting opinion.

Well good for you, then. But not every extremely privileged, wealthy, celebrity tween has the same life experiences as you did. Maybe dont judge others by the yard stick of your own life?

So, regardless of the fact that she clearly doesnt buy into their schtick hook, line, and sinker, she is still just as bad as those that do? Seems like youre the one being dogmatic. I'm just sayin, give her a few years to actually grow up and mature, then condemn her. Shes like, what, 17? lol

If you read past the quote she illustrates that shes a pretty sane chick. A lot of men have it hard too. On the show specifically, it’s always been a constant debate because women are treated badly on the show, and they’re treated well on the show. But it’s the same as the boys You gotta keep in mind the context: she said she didnt know what a feminist was "and then someone explained it to me". So she probably got the "feminism = belief in equality" definition. If you were 12, and someone told y…

Don't nag. Don't try to make your partner over. Don't criticize. Give honest appreciation. Pay little attentions. Be courteous. Read a good book on the sexual side of marriage. Funny how those feminists dont see how this can be applied, with tiny modifications if any at all, to men just as much as it can to women.

Anecdotal evidence, but my exwife did almost no chores at all. It took about a year of her being a completely lazy layabout but I eventually filed for divorce for that reason among others.

Thats fair. I think we might be closer on this issue than we are apart, too. Figure it this way, to the average guy, defending your people/culture/etc (outside of voting and the political sphere) would likely take the form of physical protection. Now there are only 3 classes of "people" in this discussion: men, women, children. And I'll assume that youre a decent guy like everyone else and wouldn't hesitate to help a child being attacked. So that leaves just men and women and the question of who…

The real question is whether men will be willing to be their people & culture's sword and shield again. I mean, i like my country, and my culture, so there exists in myself a desire to preserve both against harmful change. But do others feel the same?
