Process server served papers. She proceeded to lose her ever fucking mind. 300+ texts(threats,false accusations, pleadings, pure filth) 30+ missed calls, (to the point she barged in my parents house and I had to close the bedroom and lock it and threaten to call the cops to get her to leave. Fun times

My ex is mentally I’ll and untreated. I dealt with her crazy ass for 7 years till I had enough, and even called off the divorce and gave her another chance. One year later I filed again. At that point she really went off the rails. She tried to accuse me everything you can think of. Acted like a total nut job. In the end I just quit caring about being her emotional support dog and started worrying about myself and my kids. It hurts but after years of that shit you get hardwired as their caretake…

Unless a written contract with many caveats to protect yourself AND you treat strictly as a landlord, then no…no way in hell. And even then I’d still lean towards no. My ex would 100% try to get out of paying rent if I had done it, and I thought about it. Also if there are children involved she’s gonna feel real confident you won’t evict her and your kids. It’d be too easy to try to fuck you for rent or just not pay you.l, and you’d be entwining yourself in that headache

I divorced a crazy ex with BPD, as well. Early on, I had a lot of interest from women through social media and I played around a bit, but I had partly the same issue. These were all walking red flags that liked my house and tried to hear me towards keeping it instead of selling. Anyways, here I am a year and a half later single, but with my own house,money, etc… I get lonely, but I can’t bring myself to date. There’s an overwhelming urge towards self preservation at this point

This guy gets it. My ex did all this. Luckily(I guess luckily) she was batshit on drugs so no one believed a word she said Literally punched herself in the eye in front of my daughter after attacking me and waiting on police to get there. I actually offered to take my exes deal several times which would’ve only benefited her and not me. Every time it wasn’t enough or in the end she was just a drugged out whore and I wouldn’t negotiate. In the end I offered her 50/50 no CS and get out the house twice. I don’t know your situation but my wife did threaten it at times and after I filed. You have to take care of your own mental well being though and constantly worrying about someone else’s deteriorating mental health can completely wreck your own, I know. I’m sorry but in my case it was different but at a certain point you can’t be a good dad to your kids or take care of yourself when you’re immersed in that pit. I wish you luck and hope it turns out ok

Nailed it on the head. Focus on the kids/work or whatever is healthy in your life moving forward. Stability is key for children during this time. Infidelity is terrible I know but like he said we live in a throwaway society. Trust your gut that this has been going on. If it smells like shit it probably is.

Pour yourself into work and find a supplemental income. Find something you’re good at and use it for cash. I’m lucky enough to have family that took me in and I’ve done this to try and offset the divorce costs. I’m still paying the house and bills
