You sound like someone who takes second hand information as first hand gospel. Do you have any opinion that doesn't lean on a social constructionist fad? I agree that people who transitions to escape chauvinism are in for a really bad time when they get both the opposite gender chauvinism and a lack of acceptance from the gender they attempt to transition to.
/r/AntiFeminists24/07/22 03:07 PM

Jordan B. Peterson is saying the same shit, but when he does it, he's put up on the cross and coerced by the media to kill himself via overdosing to cope. And many men know this kind of acceptance is out there, but misandrists gatekeep that compassion and tell them the only way they can get it is to gender transition.

It seems like hating men/"Patriarchy" is the only qualification you need to be accepted as "woman", regardless of your personal circumstances. When cis hetero men say they hate men, it's just another reason to be disgusted at men.
/r/AntiFeminists23/07/22 06:24 PM

Arguing exceptions vs rules is a diversion, and they probably still believe a homeless man benefits, in the belief that he could likely get a job faster and easier than other groups of homeless. They'd likely blame him for wasting his privilege on top of it. I doubt any card carrying feminist would accept that a homeless man doesn't benefit from "Patriarchy"

At some point, a perceived trend is taken as an objective fact, and in that transition, chauvinism is born.

This woman is based af. She's rational and pragmatic and acknowledges the facts of reality and gender relations. No conflation of feminism and female chauvinism here, despite the host's goading and insinuations.

Women resent being expected to apologize for any number of behaviors which may or may not be apology-worthy. Men resent being expected to apologize for being men.

Never thought I'd hear these words coming out of my mouth (hands?) but you've got a bunch of internalized misogyny. Ironically or not, I don't think you'll find a lot of people supporting male chauvinism here. The expectation that a man will be dominating is a gender role that many men resent, and it doesn't make them less of a "real man" to resent it. Someone set up this relationship dynamic for you in the past. I'm glad this guy doesn't beat you.

The conceit of female chauvinism is "but men are worse when they do it" instead of just drawing a clear line between good and bad faith. The heart of the conceit is that it is forgivable for a woman to do something in bad faith when the consequences of a man acting in bad faith are worse. Bullshit. We should all be acting in good faith. "Comparison is the thief of joy."

I'd like to see an "antichauvinist" sub that continues the content in this sub in a more holistic sense (including decrying male chauvinism right next to female chauvinism, although the two are harder and harder to distinguish from each other these days)

I had to drop my inspin sister in the last year as well. You can only tie yourself to someone who hates your whole gender for so long. If you can't help them see the light, they'll only drag you down into their darkness.
/r/MensRights08/07/22 08:44 PM

They seek men to enable the good parts. Their commodification of men is one of the more detestable aspects of their chauvinism. Take a look at any dating app and it's basically "Hi, I hope you're independently wealthy because I don't work and I looooooove to travel."

And "not playing the game" gets criticized as sexism/patriarchy, so you lose even by opting out. These women operate on a rhetorical Xanatos Gambit where they are never in the wrong. They leave no room for themselves to grow.

The patriarchy is the methods and modes of female chauvinism, projected onto all men. They presume we are as evil as they know themselves to be capable of being. Men are simply not that conspiratorial: We decide everything on an individual basis, and if there is any collective behavior to be perceived, it's guaranteed to be emergent/unintentional. Or invented for political expediency by femchauvs. It seems like most of our "sexism" and "racism" these days are really just deviations on classism (…

Conspiracy theories presumed to be factual based on anecdotal experiences with facing personal hardship that could be (but not guaranteed to be) attributed to misogyny. While people are discriminated against for many factors, it's very easy to presume that there's a particular factor that is being discriminating against, and then they can inflate that into some kind of strawman conspiracy. If you have societal privilege regarding victimhood status, it makes it even easier.
/r/MensRights05/07/22 08:20 PM

💯 Female chauvinism and male (red pill) chauvinism are interdependent. Female chauvinism is anti-feminist as it is.

It's no surprise that internalizing other people's demonization of your gender expression leads to bad mental health, regardless of what your gender is. Men have it particularly rough in this regards, thanks to innate bias.

It's not the sperm that crosses the blood barrier, it's the antibodies your body creates to kill the sperm. It was one of the things I had to sign a consent form for before I got my operation. I never mentioned low T and I don't see how it's relevant. The testes are still creating testosterone, and those pathways aren't impeded.

Vasectomy-haver here. Decided to be childfree in my early 20s and couldn't trust the women I was dating to respect those wishes. Not just does fertility drop off, but the antibodies that cross the blood barrier to attack the sperm (if they have nowhere to go, they become the body's enemy) can also cross the blood barrier in the brain and become a contributing factor to dementia. I do everything I can to mitigate the risk, but the procedure is ultimately very risky in the long term if you get it …

Same principle for transmen, though: A strong perception of a misogynist world, internalized, turned into dysphoria. It's gender chauvinism that's creating trans people; The reason it's so prevalent now is because the internet is ubiquitous, and the most extreme views on are on display for children everywhere. It's easy to cherry pick who the enemy is based on your born-as gender, and then you internalize the views of the enemy and gain dysphoria. The trans issue is a societal issue about gender…

There's some old advice that goes something along the lines of "never loan money to someone expecting to get it back." I think it can be somewhat adapted here. Never spend money on a woman unless you'd spend it on them platonically.

Some women will take any opportunity to publicly announce what an imperfect slave their partner is. Almost as annoying as the ones who come out of the woodwork to rub in everyone's faces how "perfect" their relationship is. Two sides of the same egotistical coin.

Good for you. I'm not attracted to women who are into casual sex anymore, so I've entered the "monk" phase of my life. It seems even the women looking for a life partner aren't willing to let go of a side guy fuck buddy in order to demonstrate good faith.

As long as white people are being considered walking devils, I'll take this as an inroad for female chauvinist bigots to ease up on men, in faith that it will eventually encompass all other races.
/r/MensRights18/06/22 10:33 PM

The only way I can work with the gender divide is to look at things as good faith vs bad faith; Playing comparison games with severity is the female chauvinist game, and men will never win at it.

My primary social outlet is D&D, where most women involved tend to be securely partnered already, and the dating apps are full of women with weird (if not chauvinist) attitudes about dating and men. (Too many people keep a sexual partner while looking for a life partner, and I feel like that's bad faith from the get go and not worth engaging with.) So I'm sworn off in the sense that I'm done wading through narcissists, and I realize that I also don't really have any social networks that would su…

Yeah, the essence of my post is that there is a healthy "middle road" approach to both porn and online dating. At worst, they create unrealistic expectations of reality, and most often, they serve as unhealthy escapism for horrible relationships.
/r/AntiFeminists16/06/22 05:26 PM
4

If you're having sex for an ego boost, you're disgusting. Feeling desired can be done with casual compliments/flirting, and compassion is best meted out through platonic friendships. And my point is not that porn is a replacement for a relationship, but it is a replacement for a hormonal outlet that many men are entrapped in toxic relationships to maintain.
/r/AntiFeminists16/06/22 05:25 PM

These are methods to win the room to your side and harangue your opponent into submission, not to find a consensus rooted in good faith compromise.

They want men to open up about their feelings, but silence them if they want men's issues addressed, then blame it on "toxic masculinity," When they claim that patriarchy hurts men because men aren't allowed to express their emotions, what they really mean is that they don't value men at all for being strong. That's their problem, not men's. Strength and stability is valuable, and you just need to find people who can appreciate it. When a man does share his true feelings, people's opinion of him…

Sexual urges are treated like any other addiction: it has a personal cost to indulge, there's a price to pay for it, and there's a market to exploit you over it. A certain cost benefit analysis turns it into something to manage vs something to pursue. At a certain point, it's better to jerk off than to willfully step into the bear trap of commodifying others and yourself.

I feel like most men wouldn't shoot their shot with a woman if there wasn't already flirting happening or subtle indications of mutual interest. There are coercive, high control groups through the entirety of society. I can say for certain that when you break free from cult mentality, it's either through transcendence or simply relocation. Somone who relocates will move hard into the "anti" position of whatever it is they believed (or were subject to) prior. They think that they can hurt us by attacking us the same way male chauvinists attack us: By teasing us and judging us on the limits on our sexual access. It's honestly gross. These women have internalized male chauvinism to oppress other men, because they assume (bigotedly) that they could never reach us in a good faith dialogue. In truth, they can reach us, but they are the ones unwilling to compromise, so it reinforces their sexism when compromise fails.

Nothing else screams of the pinnacle of “cooperation” quite like throwing a group of women together and watching them all roll up their sleeves, establish a chain of command, make a plan, delegate responsibilities and execute. FYI you don't need to be male to be a male chauvinist, and you don't need to be female to be a female chauvinist. Gender chauvinism is fully interdependent and they support each other. Every time the opposite sex hurts you, the chauvinists of your own gender are there to comfort you and induct you into the gender hatred. Think of male feminists and conservative women as examples of people who have internalized the opposite sex's chauvinism. It runs along the dominance and submission paradigm, an…

AKA the real vs the construct. Feminists need to reconcile the gap between the real man and the straw man. But they refuse to because it doesn't benefit them to do it; It would crush the ideology they lean on for vindication.

It's been mainstream for a while, they just keep diverting the focus back onto and propping up Patriarchy as "the mainstream" because you need a dominant culture for a counterculture to survive. Feminism is rife with female chauvinists. Feminism refuses to address female chauvinism. Female chauvinists have hijacked feminism. Will Smith is brainwashed into an ideology perpetuated by chauvinist women and he is enslaved by reputation management. He believes that he is not a "good man" unless he is there for his wife and children no matter what. Gynocentrism is the manifestation of the belief that women are the "protagonists" of reality (everything revolves around them), even if they are not holding explicit power over others. It's all projection. Life for a woman involves a lot of social violence from other women (as opposed to physical violence -- they are more likely to intentionally ruin your relationships with other people instead of hitting you), and they are conditioned from a young age (possibly by their mothers) that they need to fall in line or they will not be allowed to attain or keep anything good. People can run scripts that check the reddit histories of any commenter, as they comment, and if they see that you've commented or posted in a blacklisted group, they'll just insta-ban. It's pretty normal for fringe echo chambers. Here is yours. It's why I do an annual throwaway. People can characterize me for a year before I get a fresh start and get to poke at their ears again.

Dude, I used quotes when I said "The Patriarchy" so that should've clued an absolute moron like you that I was using it sarcastically. There is a middle ground to be found. It just involves acknowledging male chauvinism and female chauvinism as interdependent and mutually assured. If you don't see how assholes and cunts create and support each other, then you're fucking blind.

You could make the same accusations towards men. And that's basically what feminism already does.

The ideology of feminism isn't a monolith. A lot of people have different interpretations of what it is. Some of the interpretations don't deserve disparagement. Do you see? "Not all men". "Not all women." "Not all feminists."

Hey... thanks for being here. This sub needs women. I think the real problem is female chauvinists who co-opt feminism, instead of "feminism" as a female chauvinist bogeyman, and I think that women are essential in recognizing and helping to pull apart the two. In the same way that men say "not all men", we can also say "not all feminists". There are people out there who identify as feminist who don't have a speck of female chauvinism in them, and I support their identification.

Traditionalism is just female chauvinism kowtowing to male chauvinism. That's always how it works. Men must view the women as "lesser" so that their "inadequacies" are immediately forgiven. The "inadequacy" is often an intellectual or ethical/honorable one. Never trust a woman who plays dumb. She's catering to the male chauvinist inclination to view her as dumb, and therefore she will always get away with her schemes by pretending to be dumb. The white knights now don't go after tradwomen, they …

If you tell her what she is, she'll take it as an insult. She won't take it to heart. At a certain point, you may have to accept that your lives are moving in different directions. Chauvinist hatred doesn't just go away. People throw all the pain they've ever had about the opposite sex into it.

The real question is: Why can't women root out the people who claim to be egalitarian but are only pro-woman? And I think the answer has something to do with why men haven't been able to root out people who engage in domineering and violent behavior. Should all women be maligned because of a few? Should all men be maligned because of a few?

You're talking about shit that was instituted in the 2000s, by the time that female chauvinists had fully captured the feminist movement. You know feminism is much older? And the older feminism is against this new "feminism"? tl;dr: You aren't going to fix feminism by painting it all as evil with a broad brush. The evil parts need to be pulled out of it, and we need women's help for that. Just like how we need the toxic masculine aspects pulled out of men's rights.

If you find yourself strawmanning and arguing with people who actually agree with you, you're a complete moron. Anyway, feminism isn't bad. It's all the female chauvinist cunts who use the feminist label and try to co-opt feminism who are bad. Educate women on female chauvinism, and they'll recognize the truth on their own. Female chauvinism and male chauvinism are interdependent, and they create "The Patriarchy" (aka the Chauvinist Spectrum in Kyriarchy) together.

This is the Patriarchy writing laws that will never affect them, but will punish millions of ordinary men, who have no role at all in "The Patriarchy". You never have to worry about indebted and family-strapped men rising up against injustice. THIS is how the Patriarchy hurts men too. Not by telling men they shouldn't have feelings. Men have feelings, women just find them inappropriate because they can't empathize.

The aim of female chauvinism is to maintain victimhood status at any cost. The aim of male chauvinism is to get the victims to shut the fuck up and grow some agency.

"Raunchy female chauvinist" fits. Not a femcel, but there is a huge crossover between femcels and female chauvinists, just like how there's a crossover between inceldom and male chauvinism. I can see OP's mistake.

What you want is for women to have higher ideals. You realize men fail to live up to higher ideals as well? Almost as though the failure is with humanity and subculture rather than gender. Your personal dating problem needs to be engaged with from a place of understanding the failings of humanity, while also having higher standards without feeling disgust towards others on the basis of them.

I made a comment to OP about female chauvinism, because I think a big problem is that female chauvinists have hijacked the male view of feminism, by identifying with feminism despite being anti-feminist. Hopefully he'll read it, understand it, and change the nature of his gender studies.

Spend a lot more time thinking about female chauvinism than progressive vs traditional women, because both tend to be chauvinist regardless of whether they're trying to change men or profit from them. Female chauvinism is anti-feminist. What you are against is female chauvinism, not feminism. Learn to tell the difference and life will get much easier. There is something to be said as to why women won't root out and decry female chauvinists from feminism, but anyone can identify as anything -- En…

In my 20s I'd jump straight into sex and then see what her expectations were and I'd do my best to satisfy them. Now that I'm secure in my 30s, I wouldn't dare have sex with someone who's into casual sex. It's meaningless and it doesn't "find meaning" like I thought it would. Heartless people are out there trying to get off.
