My friend is a detective, and she says most of the things she investigates are from domestic violence that has gone too far. The victims are almost always victims. Speak to a 911 operator and they'll tell you that most of the domestic violence complaints are with women being the victims. I am not saying violence towards men is inconsequential, but you can't pretend that it's 50/50.

If the violence is neutral then it deserves to be gender neutral, but statistically it's the guy that beats the woman.
