This definitely didn't come natural for me at first. It was a process of doing it over and over that it started to become engrained that this kind of communication does bring people closer together, makes people around you feel 'at ease' so to say.

In my own journey to find out what it means to be vulnerable, I have found that vulnerability can be expressed quite easily. You simply need to let people around you, not just girls, know exactly how you feel about things. If someone disrespects you, you tell them that made you feel bad/angry/disrespected. If someone does something that makes you feel good, you tell then it makes you feel good. If you’re confused, you express that. Communicate how things make you feel right away, without pressur…

I come from a family that owns a lot of land. Capital is not an issue. This is one of the biggest reasons why I want to come back and start developing our land immediately. I can also build a significant amount of capital in 3 years if I stay in the US with the company. I really appreciate the extended vacation advice. Haven’t even entered my mind, but that makes so much sense! Thank you!

You break up with her, you lose something great and a strong connection. 1 month later you’re single and learning about new relationships. You stay with her and face no loss. One month later you’re still wondering what being single is like. You stay with her and have side chicks. One month later you may be so consumed with guilt you break up with her anyways. Its a hard choice because all options come with uncertainty and drawbacks. Its natural to feel conflicted. No amount of discussion will so…

Learn how to not give a fuck. Only then will you be freed from ego. Read: Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck Read: The Power of Now Learn how to be vulnerable. Only then will you find true friends and lovers. Read: Models by Mark Manson Learn how to be truthful to yourself. Only then will you be able to communicate truthfully to others. Practice: communicating your feelings and beliefs without thinking about anyone else’s feelings. Practice: articulating your thoughts fully, by writing your thought…

Hey man, I recently got cut off from my parents and have about the same amount saved up. I've been learning about investing and how to make my money work for me. The best resource I've ever read, comparable to the red pill of investment is The Boglehead's Guide to Investing. There's even a whole forum called bogleheads. The investment money manager John Bogle who retired and taught thousands of average people how to invest wrote a book called 'The Boglehead's Guide to Investing' that is a simple…

Lying was a coping mechanism for your childhood pain. It was good back then, as you were only a child. Thank your past self for this. But acknowledge that it is time to move on and mature. Look up Dr. Gabor Matè. His talks on youtube with Tim Ferris has been very therapeutic for me and I highly recommend for you. It is based on childhood trauma and understanding why we come up with the coping mechanisms that we do.

Psychologically speaking, people maintain healthiness by having two things in their lives, attachment and authenticity. By suing her, you become authentic to yourself and your own needs. However, the dilemma is that you may cause tension to the attachment you have with other people in your town. As a developing child/infant, you need that attachment to your parents to survive, sometimes at the cost of authenticity. When you can’t be yourself, you develop coping mechanisms like pleasing people vi…

I have few friends here and there who are the type you outlined. I met them through mutual friends. These kinds of men lead their own social circles. They respect leaders of other social circles who have abundance. To meet like minded men, put most effort into one or two groups, lead lots of mixers and meet the leaders of other groups. That is one way I met my most successful friends. Leaders without followers are just egotistic men without success.

Yes of course. Pick up some hobbies that girls would like to join like cooking, music, hiking, shopping, finding good food etc. keep inviting whoever to come with you. Eventually the girls will follow.

Ramp up the cockiness/confidence. Respond to certain requests with what a redpiller would respond to. Example: “Can you grab that ruler for me from the front?” “Nah I’m busy” Build your social circle by inviting people to fun events, even if you have to start from the bottom tier of people. Start hanging out with girls in your school and take them w u places for social proof

Do little experiments here and there where you are at school. When I swallowed the pill, I was gaming girls at my high school. Some girls were weirded out, but as long as you’re nice and not creepy about it, you should be fine. I’m still friends with the girls I gamed 8 years later. It also helped me learn much quicker cus I didn’t have to go somewhere to practice.

Don’t be confused. TRP is for those to do what they want with it. We do not limit our collective wisdom to those whose sex is the primary objective.

I am in a 7 month LTR. My take is to get plates if you can, and don’t stop til you do. You could also make friends with cute girls and practice kino with them. Or do both. That’s what I managed to do after 2 grueling monk mode years of lifting, CBT, and socializing. You will want it until you have it. After that, it’s up to you whether to stop growing as a person or not.

Make friends with the most social people you can find. People with connections who act as social catalysts. People who take the initiative to plan get togethers and activities for their friends. I also met my mentors by being inquisitive. The evolutionary instinct of most people is that they want people to follow them. I was willing to dedicate myself 100% to the people I believed in. I asked questions most are afraid to ask. I was open about my shortcomings and asked for advice. I listened and implemented advice they gave me, no matter how stupid it seemed. My philosophy is that I won’t know until I try it at least once. Later I found that most people fail to gain mentors because they …

Books-wise I highly recommend Models for emotional honesty, No More Mr Nice Guy for getting out of the nice guy zone. I’ve read more guides than books so I am not a good source for book recommendations honestly. Friends-wise, the longest lasting friendships I’ve made are from bootcamps, internships, school, and camps. Any place where you’re forced to spend large amounts of time with people is where you develop real lasting friendship.

My mentor would ask me what I want at work. I was very new then and understood very little of his business. At first I answered the best I could, trying to impress him with what I thought was the best answer. However, he kept asking how did I know what I want if I haven’t even learnt about his business. Lifting a person is actually more about the position of your body to hers. I learnt to put my hip as close to the other person’s hip as possible before lifting, to ensure that weight is distributed through your body and not on your arms. Its pretty much impossible to lift somebody with your arms outstretched forwards, because the weight will lay on your shoulders. It’s easy to lift someone 2 times your body weight just by pressing your hip against theirs and lifting upwards with your legs.

Humans are social creatures. When left alone without social contact, our brains release a chemical that is correlated with depression symptoms. But that’s easily corrected by going to the gym, going to the park, going to meetups, yoga, whatever stuff with people around. What the red pill will do is empower you and give you tools to get from point A to point B, which is your dream of a happier life. What pickup will do is get you in touch with other men who also want to improve. Getting myself in…

Yes this is a great answer and great steps that will contribute to your long term goals as a man. Then do some self reflection as to why you have deflected advice given to you when the reply made you feel small. Ask yourself if this is the best course for your learning. When my plate gets shitty and acts like a little brat when its not my fault, I tell her straight up that she’s being shitty and I don’t want to be around her like that. I then get up and leave. Example: she takes my phone and puts pics of her face on my snapchat story to signal other hoes that shes with me. I agree. Although when worded in short as Organic is BS, the meaning might come off differently than you would like.

I'd recommend reevaluating your conclusion on organic, non-processed, and clean foods. Much of the movement on these three topics are based on numerous studies. Of course, there's research suggesting both sides are right, but I don't think it's fair to say these three things are BS without mentioning the meta analysis of these topics.

I started painting as a hobby on top of going to school, running a business, practicing guitar, and being very socially active. I sucked at it for the first 5 attempts and I started to get better. But the amount of time needed to set up, clean up, and dry the paint was too much for me and yielded too little enjoyment. I stopped painting but I still sketch here and there. I’m 6’ and 170 lbs and I feel too thin, especially living in cali where guys are built like tanks. It took me a year to go from 160-170 with constant lifting. A 30 year gym vet gave me some good weight gaining advice. ‘Fall in love with your legs, they are the biggest muscles and they get HUNGRY when you train them. That was his key to eating more. Train the legs, make them hungry, build from the bottom up. You can do that with no arms.

Don’t worry mate, I was thinking the same thoughts many years ago. Unfortunately, ‘be yourself’ didn’t cut it for me. If you don’t like yourself at the moment, and you want to act as an agent of change for yourself, then fake it till you make it. Fake it till you make it. But it’s not entirely all faking is it? Deep down you may want to fit in or be accepted. This means you may want to build long-lasting relationships as well. If you were truly honest with yourself, would you say you want to sta…

Hey brother. I have been working in the food industry for a while and have learnt a lot about ‘whole foods’ vs. processed foods. You seem to be new to the topic so let me walk you through a few key principles of the whole foods theory. Let’s define whole foods as foods that have not been exposed to chemical processing. Mechanical processing includes things like taking a product of nature and doing things to it like grinding, pressing, and such. Chemical processing is when you take a product of n…

I discovered pua back in 2010 when it kinda first started popping. The general advice back then was to think of yourself as two halves: inner and outer. Inner covers your attitude and beliefs. Outer covers behavior and body language. The consensus was that inner game is the 80% that contributes to success. Outer game (how to stand, talk, behave) is the lesser 20%. I can only speak from experience. When I first began, I had a lot of doubts about my own attractiveness. But I found Christian Hudson…

Everyone craves sex, get over it, its how we are wired. If that wasn’t so then the world wouldn’t have a population problem right now. I never spoke to a psychologist, but people say psychologists help by helping you establish filters in your mind. 2 cents here: My cousin got me into lifting when I was 16. He had a small gym he frequented where he made sure to say hi to everyone. Small talk with the receptionist, solid nod and hi to fellow gym members, initiating conversation with other people. Fast forward a month, everyone knew him. The biggest lifters who looked like competition lifters hung out with him. They went clubbing together and chicks were flocking to them. All from being social at a small gym he frequents.

Personal trainer at golds gym said fall in love with you legs. Working them out makes it the hungriest muscle. Allows you to eat more to build muscle around the body. A silver medal bodybuilder told me the tricep is the largest muscle in the arm. Working it out is like cheating cus it makes the arm look bigger faster than bicep workouts. Also standing wall pushups for large shoulders.

This is a valid approach. However, it's good to be wary that overexposure alone does not make the anxiety go away. Overexposure gives you the opportunity to try different approaches to deal with your emotions. You could try different things. You got it brother. Since writing this post, I've come through one more important change. Do not seek happiness in achieving things outside your control. Seeking constant happiness is an impossible task. Switching my mindset to seeking suffering instead forced me to focus on the things i truly care about. For example, I want to be many things: rock star, player, muscular and built, singer, dancer, businessman, painter, philanthropist. Each image I have of me doing these things well is attractive…

How to suffer less? I don't buy into the premise at all. We all have suffering in our lives because it goes hand in hand with all positive things that happen to us. Got a new car? Now you have to deal with maintenance, cleaning, and parking. Got a bigger home? More cleaning, more organization, moving. Got a better job? More responsibilities, new coworkers, new rules. By understanding the suffering that comes with every step you take, you learn to take the steps that matter to you the most. In a …

The city i moved to in in Virginia has 400,000 people. 30% are veterans, 15% are seniors, 50% are men. Not sure how much is 18-30 women. Out of that handful, 5/100 are hot. Lessons I take from your comment: Be polite and cordial with people who add positively to your support system. Invest in people that bring value to your world. Keep your friends few, but your acquaintances plentiful. If they can add value to your life, but you do not like who they are, remain on friendly terms just in case. Build a network of people you actually care about. Investing in these people will come naturally if you genuinely think they are positive additions to your life. Work slowly,…

I remember that happened to me when I swallowed the pill for the first time. I lost a lot of friends, but I forged new relationships who were growth-minded people who supported each other on our paths. Breaking comfort zones will inevitably give you anxiety. Dealing with it is by not letting it consume you. What are you trying achieve? A fellow trper posted a psychological study the other day that gave some insight into the question: how to begin approaching girls? The hypotheses were do I flood myself with approaches or do I slowly build my confidence up with small steps. The study, when applied to breaking comfort zones of approaching women, revealed that small steps are more favorable to th…

As I am changing my mindset, I keep feeling that thing people call cognitive dissonance. It feels like I'm literally fking my mind. My thought cycles keep trying to move as it always has and my consciousness is saying no, this is what it is now. Then I'm all confused like which way is right and which way is left. Thanks for sharing your experiences. As I'm venturing into uncharted territories (of my comfort zone) I truly appreciate those who advise through experience. After such a long time and so many reads, I've pretty much internalized it, so yes I'm not leaving it. What I'm leaving is my reliance on specifics (e.g. what to say when this happens). The problem with specifics is that I believed I could control the outcome by behaving a certain way. It's made me unhappy because there is no way I can make every outcome perfect.

I've been reading this book called untethered soul. The author argues that impatience/anxiety/depression/dissatisfaction stems from you being controlled by your ego (inner voice). Your ego tells your mind to accomplish impossible feats like wanting everyone in the room to like you or being the best at everything. The mind then goes into overdrive, coming up with all these scenarios like what to do, what to say, how to act. Your being becomes consumed with your mind's impossible mission. When the…

I think the 80-20 rule fits here pretty well. I find that about 80% of our social circle is pretty much sheeple and 20% are born leaders. When we make decisions, everyone's input is welcomed, but the people look to certain leaders in the group to make the ultimate decision. C doesn't always lead. He trusts others in the group to take on the reins as well, although is always prepared to rise to the occasion.

That's correct. He simply is them. Having that kind of friend around has been beneficial to me on my RP journey. For example, I often catch myself coming from a lack of abundance and welcoming girls into my sphere too quickly. I should be qualifying them first if I am the prize. Getting people to invest is the first step to any successful relationship. It's like how Zappos offers $2000 for their trainees to quit to build commitment and culture.

I've met and been friends with more than 10 of these billionaire kids. I was fortunate to go to a very prestigious school even though I myself am nowhere near that status. Now the argument many people are making is that wealth leads to true abundance and power, which in turn makes this kind of behavior a natural occurrence among the rich. I find that most of the examples given here are possible even if you're not extremely wealthy. The inner/outer circle thing merely comes from years of being a respectable guy and forging solid friendships. Having modest wealth is enough for you to organize events and hangouts for your people every week. People who have not had a lot of people around them growing up (myself included), misunderstand the reason people talk to each other. We believe the only reason to talk is to convey ideas and understand each other. However, we completely forget about the emotional side of talking. Namely, talking to feel good, relaxed, and immersed in the other person's personality. In this sense, talking is more like singing than speech. We talk to feel at ease. We talk to relate and show we care. Its like song…

I was also thinking about how this has affected my progress with girls. A friend of mine shared a piece of wisdom he received from his self-made billionaire family friend. It went like this: Most people either are underachievers or overachievers. This is dangerous. Some set goals too low. Some set goals way too high in the clouds based on some egotistic fantasy. When this happens, they never get to where they want to be and become overly frustrated, leading to burnouts. I'm still not entirely sure how to do this, but its given me a lot to thing about.

I believe its because people had put me into a 'lame kid' category. Its merely a matter of are you considered the fun guy or not. If there are 100 people in your year, lets say because you've made improvements in your demeanor, 20 of them think you're cool and 80 think you're lame. If you keep pushing boundaries and working on yourself, eventually 60 will think you're cool and 40 won't. All you need is the majority to be in your favor and its all downhill from there. I would recommend reading the book itself for most people out there. However, cliffnotes can be useful for gauging whether a book is worth a read or not. I don't find it very useful for absorbing information. Although things weren't horrible, my interactions are far from good 'in general'. I aim to reach that point where half my interactions are good. If I never reach that point after 100s of approaches, I'll know this method doesn't work. I agree with your point. I will still continue with this method until I feel solid in terms of staying grounded when talking to random girls in bad scenarios. The whole point of this is to train myself to be able to stop a girl, be comfortable and friendly, and move on without thought if I get rejected. For most of us, we had much experience with this already in primary and secondary school. Just going up to girls and asking if they would go out with you. However, I repressed this throughout my …

While in the moment, it seems less desperate- although still desperate to a degree. I'm quite pleased with my body language, tonality, and eye contact (overall confidence). However, when we focus on the words without the other stuff, it magnifies the awkwardness of approaching a complete stranger and trying to make conversation. But it's also good because I can reflect on exactly what was being said. Though I have heard RSD coaches say that nothing you say matters, its how you say it. At the sam…

I recognize the cringy-ness. It is the reality of my situation. With each approach, it was less creepy and more natural. Even when I met that last girl who gave me her number, I know I was a little out of tune. But I want to learn quickly, and the only way to do this is approach, recognize whats wrong, mentally note it, repeat. I find that its like filling a leaky bucket with water and patching the holes until you got a solid bucket.

I think of this type of game as practice. I'm putting myself in pretty much the worst chance scenario and just having fun meeting cute girls. I'm not expecting much, but with approach #8 I am pleasantly surprised that there are girls out there who would be interested in the way I present myself. I believe if I keep pushing this sort of practice, when I am in the IDEAL situation, I will be prepared.

The better way is to not touch at all? Or just subtle arm touches when conversing? What if I'm confidently giving them a handshake and don't give it a second thought? What if this sort of thing is natural? Will it still come off as desperate just because it is a handshake? There's a lot of questions I have about this because I haven't given it much thought.

I would rather not take this piece of advice. The reason is that every girl I've approached confidently has given me a chance to show them who I am without any IOI's before. Secondly, I've seen silent approaches work as well. I believe in the maxim, "Just lead and they will follow". Thank you for sharing.

It's just what I did yesterday. I'm not sure why he thinks its satire. Don't trpers recommend practicing on real women? Thank you htbf! It comes off as off-putting and invasive until the right girl comes along and give you her number. Of course smoothly and seamlessly engaging a woman is probably ideal. There are no limitations except for those imposed on yourself. Limitations are based on imagination. Perhaps you've fabricated a life on fantasy. It is possible to break through and see reality, accepting the situation in its truth or embracing an alternate view of life can be done. It is easier to do when your mind is clear from thoughts that loop each day.

Thank you for illustrating my point. It is healthy to seek glory in your accomplishments. Men who do not desire glory is usually worthless. However, you should not seek to have other think you are odd or different, merely a man that is accomplished and respectable. Ask yourself, to you, what is a man who is different than the rest, but is accomplished? What is a man who is like the rest but is also just as accomplished?

There is no advantage in life to seek isolation. I too found myself not being able to stand people. Filled with angst and anxiety, it was hard to relax around peers. Filled with expectations, it was hard to accept people for who they were. Once I emptied my cup, frothing to the brim with ego and anxiety, I was able to fill it back up with the warmth and kindness of people.

Many men have preached that all men should stop smoking. However, tackling this issue by saying, "its bad, don't do it" is not hitting the nail on the head. We all use different drugs for different reasons. Perhaps those who use it purely in social gatherings to strengthen the bond between friends is not considered to abuse drugs. However, addiction/dependence/escapism stems from a deeper issue. Dissatisfaction with life, loneliness, lethargy, lack of improvement can lead to anxiety, depression …

Cheers. I think this is relatable on other levels than weed because we all use something as a form of escape at some point in our lives. The question then is, is it possible to create an environment where 80% of people are most productive and 20% are not? Can we reverse the naturally occurring 20/80 phenomenon? I draw from Greene's definition of mastery. When you can see the sum of the parts and have the ability to influence things in a field, you have mastery. He gives an example of a chess master, Bobby Fischer. He doesn't see the individual moves of each piece anymore, but a dynamic field of force that warns him of danger and opportunity. He has so much experience that he takes into account the player's psyche, the atmosphere of the surroundings, their past moves and more without thinking about it. …

Hey robby. I dont mean it if my tone came out argumentative. Just sharing my experience. I'm relatively young (22) so I've definitely much to learn and do appreciate you sharing your experience. I am aptly curious as to what experiences led you to this conclusion? Would you mind sharing?

Ah. "I am the prize and she knows it" would have been the right attitude. And good advice. Ive been noticing it and avoiding it. Next time, ill bat them down.

I believe being as direct as i was helped me when mixed in with the other good stuff! If i had just kept it direct it would have fallen flat quickly, but to transition to the high status frame you mention helped as well. I keep hearing the same advice: show your intentions but in a non-needy, high status way. Just being non-needy and high status alone is boring imo.

Day 5 of my wake up early, work out, work on my mission (my business), and eat healthy. I've been skipping leg day for a year. Yesterday I did it. My ass feels like a lemon that's been beaten to a pulp. Love it. I'm getting ready for another session right now. I've never felt better in my life. Realized I was taking life a bit too seriously yesterday and I haven't been in touch with my bros. i hit them all up and today we're hanging out.

Thanks for the pointers again! I'll be studying the Keto reddit. I've actually been feeling low-energy and glum for the past year since I've started a low-fat diet, but seeing that low-fat doesn't mean good, its time to transition! Thank you!

I consider The Slight Edge as the how to of how to's. HOW TO live a life and sustain a philosophy that allows you to fully carry out and implement any book that tells you how to do something (get rich, get swole, get women). I regard it as the most life changing book i've ever read, apart from the game.

Interesting! When should I be taking my carbs and protein? Lunch and dinner? Is the insulin rush bad for me?

hey man, I was in the same mindset myself. Its a philosophical issue. What changed it for me was reading The Slight Edge. The book spurred on a new philosophical approach to living for me. I highly recommend it for you.

I'm doing the linear progression regimen so its like PPLRPPL PUSH PULL LEGS REST PUSH PULL LEGS. They say beginners can pull it off to. I'm not so sure now. I feel better after a brief walk outside though! Maybe it was just a brief period of fatigue following the workout.

Just like giving a flower to a girl back in the day. Hit or miss. But you'll know for sure because you showed your intent and now its her turn to share! I'm not sure if you're trying to exaggerate for effect here, but I know that you don't have to be a Chad to get girls. I would argue that having fun and creating things out of your interest for someone will do more wonders for your love life than sticking to the Chad archetype.

So write it out right now. Share the most exciting parts of your work. What are some skills you can utilize to make global changes? Nationwide changes? I'm really curious. Pretend like I'm a 9 hitting on you at a bar.

Thats easy to say. Not really sure how to make that mental shift! I'll be really into my work but become antisocial and not meet people. But when im single, I'll go out to have fun w friends and meet girls. When I'm outside, how can I be obsessed with my world and meet people at the same time?

Yeah i still need a lot of work! When I release my inner sass its actually more enjoyable. When I do the things I want to do and not repress myself its more enjoyable. I'm trying to move past my social conditioning. Not sure if that can be done entirely, but I think im going the right way!

My good sir! My marketing career has taught me that there are no such thing as boring products! Only boring salespeople. Heck, I get to market hearing aids to old people and there are ways to make THAT exciting. Remember, girls don't respond as much to credentials, titles, and subjects as men do. Ask a girl what Cuba was like and she'll say, "oh theres dancing all day, it was really relaxed, the smell of the ocean is always there". They only care about the feeling, the atmosphere, the EMOTIONS t…

I actually do quite a lot of interesting things (i hope). Like how i started two businesses and got brought into a consulting firm by the president who heard about me. So now i live in two states, going to school in one and working in another! I don't mean to brag, but I never really bring these topics up. I usually ask about the girl and such. Maybe that's why I've been failing. I should open, and find a common ground and hook them with what i do ...

Girls don't rebound? Great! That actually does make sense to me. Do red pill guys get all moody and be all shitty? No! So why assume this girl would do so? Thanks for the advice. I now understand that this isn't as big a deal as it was in my mind.

Are we born with infinite value? I admit some are, but the majority of us aren't. So how do we get from where we are to having high value? Aside from truly working on yourself, communicating the right things at the right time is just as important. Furthermore, how did these people with high value become what they are? It's probable that their upbringing exposed them to the subtleties of manipulation. I believe those without then exposure should catch up by learning what manipulation is. Just und…

No you're absolutely correct. We should have a confident attitude and be the prize- no argument there. However, when we get too serious about texting, we tend to look closely at the trees and not see the forest behind it. We all approach texting differently on a micro level. Some of us are playful, mysterious, bold. No matter what kind of man you are, we all go through the same basic process. Interest, desire, action. This post is meant to remind us to move onto the next phase and not get lost. …

Manipulation comes with this negative connotation because we only bring it out to the forefront when something bad happens. Life is manipulation. Pick up is manipulation. Being the prize is being so good at it that its natural. Understanding it can lead to mastery.
