Screening their likes/interests, values/morals, aspirations, personality, etc. to see if you two would be compatible for a relationship. This way, you don't have to wait almost a week till your 2nd date, where you might find out she has completely different ideas than you and you no longer want to pursue that relationship. 2	Texting in between dates That's actually not a bad question. Comes off as kind of funny & random, but good segway into further conversation. Like if someone asked me this, I'd name various Mexican cheeses. And I could tell you what delicious meals they go on. And I could suggest restaurants that have good cheese, and share my theory about how people love cheese when they're high.
