I took a divorce moon, like a honeymoon, but for myself to celebrate my divorce. Went on a month long trip around the country, stayed in incredible guesthouses en hotels. Flew back home when it was my weekend with the kids. Got back home, bought both kids new expensive bicycles, booked a three week holiday for the three of us. Chucked the old bedroom suite and mattress, upgraded to a king base and mattress, new bedside tables and lamps. Installed new flooring in the kids and my bedroom. New shee…

Life is awesome. Parenting plan works a charm, both started seeing other people. Kids are happy, mom and dad are happy and we’re still friends. We’ll BBQ and go out for birthdays. Plan stuff and back each other up when the kids try funny business.

Just wanted to add something that happened this morning. Kids are with me Mon-Wed. This morning I wake them with a smile and music playing in the house, something that doesn't happen at mom's house. So I get their breakfast ready, put their clothes out, pack their lunch boxes, everyone calm, happy, smiling and tummies full. We get in the car, they choose their songs for the school run, life it good. Then I realised just how good we have it when they are with me. I told them this morning driving …

It gets so much better! I have been slack on my health and body, but realised after seeing a post in the intermittendfasting reddit, that I need to pull my finger and take back my health and start working on being a better looking dad. Someone my kids will be proud of. Sounds vain, but its how I feel.

I just did this with my last match on Tinder. It became a hassle to msg and talk every day, felt like I had to put effort into trying to make something from this match-up and after a week in the bush with the kids, I just sent her a msg saying I cannot carry on like this and ended it right there. No further contact.

I took a divorcemoon (like a honeymoon, just much better) when she and the kids moved out. I traveled through the country for an entire month, flew back weekends to spend time with the kids, worked remotely. Best thing I ever did. My ex and I have a great co-parenting solution, I do travel for work at times and when she has them over holiday's I rent a beach house and see all the places that is on my bucket list.

I spend the day alone, not lonely. Its summer here where I live, so it was a scorcher (34 Celsius) of a day. Spend the day swimming, listening to music, having a couple of cocktails, wine and shooters. Spoke to the kids a bunch of times during the day. They're with her, her new FWB and her family. I was invited, but decided to not put myself in a situation where I will have no peace and my day will be spoiled by her or her family. Kids miss me a lot, but I have them from today to mid Jan. Today …

This is also my list and as you mentioned, add another 10 or so things. I just dropped my first GF after divorce, when she started talking about moving in together, me meeting her family, friends, etc, wanted space in my cupboards for her stuff. Bathroom became her bathroom. Nope, I'm out. You are a guest in my house. You can stay over one night a weekend. This is my house, my sanctuary, you only visit and respect that.

Dude, I cried to my direct manager the yesterday on a call. Shit has been touch and he simply asked me how I'M doing and that bit of caring was just enough to make the tears flow. I also cried yesterday when my son told me he wanted us all back in the same house. He knows mommy is seeing someone and it bothers him so much. He is really not taking it well. The more I try and reason with her to just slow down and not talk about the new guy in her life the more she pushes for a meeting between new …

Congrats dude! My divorce was finalised bit more than two weeks ago and the freedom that comes with that signed piece of paper is unexplainable! My bed is my own! My kitchen is clean and organised! My garden looks spectacular! My bedroom cupboards are my own and I don't need to share! My house is clean and in order! I can have pictures on the walls! My time, my freedom, my LIFE!

Yea, got my sanity back. But I also bought new TVs, watches, and was able to invest in crypto and other long-term investments.

This was me until she and the kids moved out. Now I'm alone in my house and very content and happy.

We initially went 4:3 (court filled plan), they're mostly with her, but they asked her if they can spend more time with me, so we now have 2:2:3 which is working out great. We have them alternative weekends and then the above 2:2:3 works out great.

Thanks for this. I needed to read this now. We’re not even divorced and she’s out dating and meeting guys. I just joined Meetup, so much going on. Thats for that. I’m looking forward to attending the get togethers.

She knew it was me, I walked into the bedroom, she pulled the gun from the night stand and aimed at me, I fell flat on my stomach out of sight and hightailed it out of the flat. She called, messaged and I just ignored her. Went to fetch my stuff when she was at work. messed up psycho!

I'm a white South African male and let me tell you, in the black communities (old tribes) there are many men who would sign up for this. Its just such a difference mindset from the Western way of doing things. They have other believes and cultures that is hard to understand if you stand on the outside looking in. Our former president (Jaco Zuma) had multiple wives and its public knowledge that some of the wives had boyfriends. In South Africa, lots cows (the animal) mean wealth in these communit…
