Music is a GREAT topic imo, especially if you end up sharing a lot of shit in common. I disagree that it is like politics. Unlike politics where you have a few distinct sides, most girls I meet have diverse music taste. I don't know a lot of people who goto sleep thinking 'omg i can never be with a guy who likes rap music.' EDIT: This is pure speculation on my part, but I think the difference between your style and the one in that video I linked is with yours she is telling her friends, "I met this crazy guy today... he just approached me, but he seemed interesting so I'm going to go on a date with him."
