They are cheap to buy (meat rabbits), and easy to learn how to dress an animal. Chickens suck for the amount of meat you get off them, in my opinion. You really don't want to go through the prep to get into a tree stand, sit there for 4 hours every day for a week, finally get a shot and then need to track the damn thing.
