This is an example of the Trolly problem. The solution to it is to not act, because otherwise you are responsible. Are you familiar with it? The quantities do not matter. If you change the course of the train, you killed him. If you don't then it is natural phenomenon. The later choice is inexplicably the right one, since you know that changing the tracks will kill people, and you are actively doing it and intend to kill them, that makes you a murderer.

This is a no true scotsman fallacy. You would simply deflect any opposition as not bring "done properly", while failing to explain what "properly" means. There is no such thing.
