Ok, the person who ran the course obviously didn't explain this well. If I turn around and say for example, the men who complain about loneliness on this thread are perpetuating a myth that doesn't exist, you would assume I'm prejudiced against men. I've not attacked one in particular, so it's not a personal attack and it's depersonalised. But as you would be able to back this up with research I would be disputing what is currently regarded as scientific fact, so it is discriminatory. That's how…

' Once they amass enough enough power to implement these things, they end up doing what all humans do--political self interest.' Its exactly what you've said. You want a libertarian society apart from the sections that may effect you. Then you want government intervention.

When did I say it had to be one sided? All I've said is expecting a relationship to maintain a porn based sex life is as realistic as being James Bond. I'm beginning to think all terpers have very damaging images of what a relationship and sex life should be.

There is a massive difference between being James Bond and going paintballing at the weekends. The thing with porn is something op picks up on without noticing. Porn is appealing to men, not all women. I'm guessing unless I've missed something, the sex things you all want to do are with women. Maybe that would be your disconnect...

' Most of that progress was regressive in nature' In your opinion. This is where the problem lies, you are stating opinion as fact. Do I believe that everyone should get welfare for having kids? Hell no. Do I believe that there should be a safety net? Yes. Sales tax would only replace federal and state taxes if you either abolished 90% of the system or set sales tax at 40+%. Either way it makes no sense. I don't believe that sales tax only would support the vital areas of the system, particularl…

It's reversing all the progress made in the last 100 years. And encouraging people to shoot each other. On top of that financially it's unsustainable and would lead to a breakdown in society as police, fire and paramedics would have to be laid off. A true libertarian society like this would not work at all. Actually to edit: there is one point I agree with, almost without reservation. 11. Parents should get joint custody as standard without proof of abuse. (Although I do disagree that substantia…

I think the main thing I take from this is that you have a skewed sample. You're taking bp women as one group and your friends as another. It sounds like the majority of your friends are not having satisfying relationships and that's sad. I think the majority of bp women are in satisfying relationships. I don't doubt that women and men talk about their so's differently and want vastly different things from relationships, but a lot of what you're talking about is merely impractical over the major…

It's exceptionally one sided. What she's accusing some women of (justifiably) is something men have done with feminism for years. The problem is that we're all human and we all get the impulse to meddle.

I think that's part of the problem, we all kind of generate gender norms, so to call it transgender is a little misleading. The problem is that you have another group called intersex, and naming the two so closely would lead to more confusion than already. Basically, try and imagine that tomorrow you woke up and whatever junk you had changed. It wouldn't change how you think, act or want to be perceived. And in all likelihood, you'd want to get that shit sorted out immediately. If you treat all …

I don't get why you're being downvoted on this, but ok. I agree the war on drugs is pointless. It also definitely has a greater effect on poc in poor neighbourhoods and the poor in general. I agree that decriminalization would go a long way to helping these out. As for welfare, well that's a complex issue. I don't think that women specifically break up relationships for money. But, if you're on the breadline, contraception is a luxury, which is a bigger mistake than any welfare set up errors. Co…

They often do, anorexia can be a symptom of a mental problem that makes the suffer always believe they are fat. I have an opinion now which can be devisive amongst lgbt communities. I personally believe that this gender brain hardwiring is something that also differs in gay people to a degree, resulting in homosexuality. I cannot explain it very well, because it's not my area of specific expertise. There are literal differences between male and female brains. I picked politics because it should be representative of the electorate, and relatively speaking, it's not as high paid as a lot of careers. As for teaching, yes men are being encouraged into teaching and that's a great thing. But they don't really want to work in the areas where they are most needed, inner city schools where there are a lot of absent fathers. I don't think quotas for anything really work. Some do and some don't. The same way that some terpers believe that rape is ok and some don't. There are some fields that I do believe in 50/50 (or as close as possible) representation is important. To pick an example out of the air, I'd say politics. We should be represented by a similar proportion to the general population. But do we need 50% female marines? No. But the women who want to join and do basic on the same level should be given the opportunity to.

I'm not completely understanding the point of the question here. If you're trying to get feminists to argue that men and women are different, its going to be a lot easier to do than you think. If then the go to is, therefore men and women are good at different things, the answer is predominantly yes. However there is deviation within each gender, which is why we have male florists and female cops. As a feminist I would argue for choice, not equal spread across the genders. So you're a guy and yo…

What's with the taking it so personally? Op asked blue pill people the question. You can tell when someone holds prejudices from the way they interact with and talk to others. You know the saying 'you can tell a lot about someone in how they treat the little people?' same thing. You don't have to walk around screaming about men's rights and feminazis to give yourself away to someone who is observant.

Both the PUA stuff and TRP stuff is based on one simple truth. People like confident people. That part is true. All the self improvement stuff on both builds confidence, which builds likeability. As opposed to trp's solution? You aren't important because you have a vagina? Ok, if the patient you mentioned could be treated at a specific abortion clinic, then yeah, sure, get him in first. No, you attempted to shift the debate by naming off topic cases, I did not. I was saying that was pointless bs because your system is broken. It doesn't target men to put them to the back of the list for surgery. Its just fucked up that much that people in that much medical distress don't get treated. You've made that judgement from three comments. Fuck me, you must be a prophet. And yes, your entire healthcare system sucks ass. Completely and utterly. And it terrifies me that you work in healthcare at all, you should not be working with people, this level of vitriol over a point you can't really argue is sad. Ok, just to sweep it out of the way, there you go. http://imgur.com/a/ms9c6 Secondly, if you are saying that children do not mirror their parents in gender construction (which goes against about 50 years of research, but yeah whatever) then it isn't damaging to a boys gender construct that he grows up on a single parent family with no father? You are arguing that the system as is is damaging children in their set up of gender. If trp is raising children (and it seems that terrifyingly it is) then it will raise a generation of women who self hate and of men who think women are beneath them and are to be treated like dogs. As flawed as I believe that the system that is creating the gender roles that we currently have, it's a lot better than this alternative. 'Yes. Duh.' Have you read trp then? Cause they don't.

It's really variable, relationship to relationship. Roles and games depend on the people in them. I think that trpers have lost their way. People go on and on about how it damages women, which I believe, but it also damages the guy. The reason it works is a lot of it has sensible parts. Being a better man is great idea. Being a better human is a great goal for all of us. But when that turns to dread game, women are less than men that kind of thing, it's dangerous for all involved. Women can get …
