| 1 | Atheists are understanding what Feminism is really aboutI've been grepping through the code (available here) and I can't find anything to do with youtube. I then went through their site and couldn't find anything to do with youtube. So I think FoundLacking must be talking about a different block bot than in the original post. I did find the the part from Thunderfoot's video though. From what I understand the block bot puts blockee's into three tiers. Only those in the "spam" tier got automatically reported. Unfortunately, the service seems to be down… | /r/MensRights | 21/09/13 10:04 PM |
| 1 | Women want abortion on demand for any reason - until it's girls being aborted. Thanks for your point of view MiracleRiver, I do appreciate it, even if I disagree with it. The main problem is with your last paragraph, the issue isn't so clear cut as that [Sidenote: I do agree with you, if the author actually believes the argument the way you framed it]. If you take a look at what I said to u/errythanthizzin below, you'll see that I brought up one of the papers that looks into this issue. It's not as simple as: "I want to abort my foetus because I don't want a girl" That may… | /r/MensRights | 06/09/13 11:48 PM |
| 1 | Women want abortion on demand for any reason - until it's girls being aborted. Thanks for explaining, I see what you were trying to do now. | /r/MensRights | 06/09/13 01:22 AM |
| 0 | Women want abortion on demand for any reason - until it's girls being aborted.I don't want to speak for chocoboat, but I read what he said, then I read what you said. I read chocoboat's comment again, really carefully this time, and then read your comment again. I don't follow how you got that :S | /r/MensRights | 06/09/13 01:02 AM |
| 1 | Women want abortion on demand for any reason - until it's girls being aborted.Which is part of the reason why there's some controversy. The Telegraph got some doctors to agree to a sex-selective abortion. | /r/MensRights | 05/09/13 11:33 PM |
| 0 | Women want abortion on demand for any reason - until it's girls being aborted.Thank you, and I completely agree. I'd like to quote Futurama on that ...this is one of those rare problems with no magic solution. I just think the title of this post misses the point of the article and frames it in such a way that's just misleading. | /r/MensRights | 05/09/13 09:28 PM |
| 2 | Women want abortion on demand for any reason - until it's girls being aborted.Sure man, I'm fairly certain they're getting their data from papers like this. I also think the Telegraph article fails in that it isn't explicit that it's immigrants from places like India (where sexual preferences do exist) that skew these numbers. If you look at numbers overall in the UK here you'll see that overall more males are actually born than females. So when the numbers show that certain immigrant groups that have a predilection for sex-selective abortions that raises the question: is… | /r/MensRights | 05/09/13 09:18 PM |
| -1 | Women want abortion on demand for any reason - until it's girls being aborted. This title is misleading. Did you even read the article? The whole point of this story is that gender selected abortions are against the law in the UK. She doesn't mention males because there is some evidence to suggest that this is happening to mainly female fetuses. What would be interesting to see if this Telegraph report had the undercover person ask doctors for an abortion of a male fetus and gauge their response. | /r/MensRights | 05/09/13 06:31 PM |
| 2 | Doonsebury implicitly denies the existence of male victims of rape and sexual assault in the US militaryI only said you get the same number because the margins of error are so high and the number of people we're talking about is so low (126) I didn't see it as statistically relevant. | /r/MensRights | 25/08/13 05:34 PM |
| 2 | Doonsebury implicitly denies the existence of male victims of rape and sexual assault in the US militaryI'm sorry man, but I can't get behind these numbers. I'm looking at the area I think you're quoting and there's a big asterisk beside each of them saying: Caution should be taken in interpretation of this number because of a large margin of error. It seems dishonest to add in the multiple offender numbers into the female offender numbers. With 126 men, 35% say they were raped by men, 40% by women, and 24% by multiple offenders. To say then that 60% of men are raped by women (at least in this sam… | /r/MensRights | 25/08/13 05:11 PM |
| 3 | Doonsebury implicitly denies the existence of male victims of rape and sexual assault in the US militaryI'd like to see where you got the stats on that man. I've been trying to find some, but all I can get are news articles that claim that most rapes in the military are man-on-man. http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2013/06/24/majority_of_military_sexual_assault_victims_are_men_now_that_the_focus_isn.html EDIT: I can't into grammar | /r/MensRights | 25/08/13 04:36 AM |
| 1 | Doonsebury implicitly denies the existence of male victims of rape and sexual assault in the US militaryHey man, I don't quite understand what you're saying there. Are you saying that the majority of male rape victims in the military are raped by women? | /r/MensRights | 25/08/13 02:48 AM |
| 25 | Doonsebury implicitly denies the existence of male victims of rape and sexual assault in the US militaryCan someone explain to me how this denies the existence of male victims of sexual assault in the military? It's a woman talking to another woman about the issues she faces. Not mentioning what happens to males in the military in a 16 panel comic isn't denying it. I just don't see the connection, can I get another point of view? | /r/MensRights | 24/08/13 06:04 PM |
| -1 | Why is it ok for feminists to say "Men's issues are because of other men - male judges, politicians etc - and not our problem", but not ok for men to say "Most slut shaming is from groups of women to other women, not our problem"?First, thanks for the links! It brought up points I've never considered before about female spending power. In general, I agree with everything you've said. In a couple generations I see it working out this way. Unfortunately I find this line of argument tends to be too a little short-sighted because it ignores our history. I can't speak for any other countries, but Canada got "universal" suffrage in 1920 (as long as you weren't first nations or lived in Quebec) and we've been slowly getting bet… | /r/MensRights | 23/08/13 08:31 AM |
| -8 | Why is it ok for feminists to say "Men's issues are because of other men - male judges, politicians etc - and not our problem", but not ok for men to say "Most slut shaming is from groups of women to other women, not our problem"?The_McAlister was talking about the upper echelons of society which are predominantly male controlled, and then he went on to talk about institutions that are almost exclusively men. I assumed that what Vandredd was talking about was in the context of The_McAlister's comment. | /r/MensRights | 23/08/13 06:17 AM |
| -7 | Why is it ok for feminists to say "Men's issues are because of other men - male judges, politicians etc - and not our problem", but not ok for men to say "Most slut shaming is from groups of women to other women, not our problem"?Don't put words in my mouth. | /r/MensRights | 23/08/13 04:13 AM |
| -8 | Why is it ok for feminists to say "Men's issues are because of other men - male judges, politicians etc - and not our problem", but not ok for men to say "Most slut shaming is from groups of women to other women, not our problem"?Yeah. For men. | /r/MensRights | 23/08/13 04:03 AM |
| 5 | I know many of you might have issues with "The Amazing Atheist", but you should watch this video he just posted. Apparently Youtube is removing many of his videos, mostly the ones concerning feminism.Hey man I'm grepping through the code and can't find the youtube bit. Can you point out to me where you found it? | /r/MensRights | 20/08/13 05:29 AM |
