Are they in pain? For some: yes, they are. Others may not be in pain but they are far from comfortable. Still others are probably just fine; it all comes down to the individual. I'm not really good with emoticons.. I thought those were more of a laughing with rather than laughing at but in retrospect I guess there's no real way to know. The numbers for the likes are 6 laughing, 5 hearts and 3 thumbs up.

It has been explicitly legal in Utah since 2019. As to your second point, that is hefty speculation. Generally ambiguous laws can easily be fought and/or appealed, but I am sure that there are some people who are unable to do so. That said, it is not a criminal offense anywhere in the US, so there would be no criminal record. A fine, though, yes.

Women going topless is only illegal in two US states (Tennessee and Indiana) and in DC. 33 states are explicitly legal while 15 states either don't have laws or have laws that are ambiguous.

That's not really any different than what I said. No one is forcing men to bow out. I am just saying that I think we will begin to see it more and more commonly until the scales tip a bit back towards equality.

I honestly don't recall what she responded as I spent the next 3 years drunk and that whole period of my life is either hazy or gone. I do believe that she agreed afterwards that that was a messed up question, though she did go to her for individual therapy for a bit aftewards. Her most recent opinion has been that she was a monumentally bad therapist at least. I never went back to marriage counseling after that first appointment, though I did eventually get an individual therapist to help with …

I think you're fine. Just be honest and prepared with any paperwork. I just read the opinion on your case and it looks to be open and shut. The court was in error and they knew they were in the wrong because they granted the protection order by refiling her complaint as a new case. The judge knew full well that granting a harassment protection order on the existing case was in violation. My wife cheated on me repeatedly while we were dating (long distance relationship for a few years). After we had been married for 5 years, she finally came clean, presumably because she was eaten up with guilt. I agreed to marriage counseling and we went within days of her revelation. The first thing the therapist did after we told her why were there was look at my wife and say, with incredulity, "Why on earth did you tell him!?"

I'm honestly not against the draft, really. I think it should apply to all people and be more of a couple of years of national service after high school rather than just compulsory military service. Maybe something that people can do to earn federal grants for college or trade school. It would at least give the "I don't know what I want to do with my life" kids a chance to grow up a little before they need to decide on a career or college major.

I am not concerned with being drafted now. But when I was 18 in early 2002, I sure as hell was. So was nearly every other guy I knew. I can have empathy for the current crop of 18 year old men without fearing the draft myself. Regardless, the likelihood of a draft occurring is not relevant to the original comment. There is no active draft in the US currently, but men still have to register so that, in the event of a draft, we can be called up. Just because there isn't a current draft doesn't mean it will never happen again. As someone who turned 18 not long after 9/11, there is definitely some existential dread when you get into the system, even if the likelihood of a draft is low. It may not be for everyone, but it's also not always a bad thing. I am the sole income earner for my household and I don't mind it. I very much hate the idea of anyone needing to waste their lives working for someone else so I don't want to force my wife into that in exchange for money that we don't even need. It brings me great pleasure in life to provide for my family. In exchange, I never have to do laundry, which is priceless.

It definitely is worth pointing out the double standard. I don't think we should get rid of the rule, though. The only way we will continue to get a voice is if we heavily control the more extreme elements of our groups. That isn't true for them so they don't bother and, in the case of some groups, actively encourage extremism.

In general, if an offense does not involve causing harm to someone else, no jail time. So when somebody is on their 8th DUI and driving with a revoked license they should just be fined? Clearly this person isn't going to stop on their own and needs to be removed from society for a period before they do actually harm someone.
