Those responses are horrible, but, it's the internet, responses are always going to be horrible. The fact is that as a society rape is not a well addressed issue. My friend was raped while she was abroad, and I was the first person she talked to that didn't ask her if she was drunk when it happened, even her mother asked her that. I understood, and when she started to explain that "I know I was drunk but I said 'no' so many times" I cut her off and told her that it didn't matter what the conditi…

As a man who works in a STEM field where women are rarely willing to carry their own weight, I think you might see less of that if there was less damselling in the workplace and more working in the workplace. Seriously? I don't know a woman in engineering that doesn't carry her own weight. Sure, they may be out there, but they aren't common. And that's not even the point. Being hit on from the moment I enter a customer site to the moment I leave is not my fault. I am nothing but professional and…

Empathy would fix that. They have none. Pot, kettle dude. Doesn't seem like you have any either.

You are totally right about the availability social resources for men and men with children. I forgot about it in the moment. I don't think it's a lie that these women love and want to help men. I think there is a gap in understanding on both sides that needs to be crossed. Many of the men here believe that feminism should be dead. As a woman in engineering, I have seen my fair share of sexism and sexual harassment in the workplace I don't see it that way. Seeing the way they are trying to pass …

I would like to answer your initial question to feminists, it wasn't posted in 2X so I never saw it. And I don't believe you should take moderator's zealotry to represent the whole of feminism. Feminism has made it harder for men to voice concerns about biases against their own gender The draft is completely unfair, if they are going to draft it should be everyone The school system as it stands doesn't allow for differences in the mental development of the genders, it also doesn't allow for diff…

Fair enough. I have seen bitter feminists do the same thing to men, so I guess I should expect it. Thanks.

You guys do get that this is because they are selling it to women right? Same way that women are portrayed as brainless sex-bots in products marketed towards men. This add is probably brought on by women not feeling powerful enough in their relationships. Just as what i mentioned is brought on by men not getting enough sex. I personally find both the woman and the man repulsive in this add, but i guess that's because I am in a healthy relationship.

In fact myself and my fiance have actually talked about this and he doesn't really know what to do with small children. After that if we would work it out. And furthermore I am going to pay his way through 6yrs grad school by working full time before the whole kids thing gets started. So I think we have a very equal relationship.

Only in mens rights would I get that response. I can see why most women steer clear of this subredit. In response to your two options, neither. I would like to work now, and then have kids and then gear down and only work part time until they are in college. That is what my mother did, and it worked out great for me. Personally I would love to have a power career, but not at the cost of my children not getting the best part of me.

I consider myself a feminist, I am weeks away from graduating with an engineering degree, and I would love to enter a workplace that would let me work part time. My mother had to make many sacrifices to work part time in academia while I was in school, and I am grateful to her for that. I think this is a cause that many women would love to get behind, the option to work part time if we want. I know that in my field part time work is practically unheard of.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
