programming was a female dominated profession back in the punch card computer days if I'm not mistaken. At the time they didn't realize what additions like GUI's and programming languages would do for computing. When computing shifted towards progress and really began to evolve rapidly (last 35 years imo) is when men took over the industry by number.

I said it after I had been with the girl for 8 months. I actually did love her and don't regret beginning to say it at that point. Very well written. I my own line of studies is very logical but not in the same sense as you. My mathematical logic cannot easily be put into words so seeing you have names for all of these things is more fantastic than you would expects. Cool

There is a point in your life where having a person to take care of you becomes a reasonable ideal. edit: I read snippets of his articles below. I can understand the hypocritical vibe of the thread, you don't talk like you're the king of the club then just go to the other club and play it off like hes nothing. Now it just makes his writings look like emotional maditude.

This is pretty much it. There is a guy in the world that could get her to forget her 'trauma' or w/e but it just wasn't him. And you're totally right about mis-categorizing early and feeling that she "should" be dating him because he has the supposed intangibles like respect, patience, stability etc etc. edit: This is why she has to rationalize the breakup (her instincts need her to distance from him, but her logical side needs a reason that sounds right when spoken aloud.)

Reading and learning help but literally improving your physique has automatic effects on confidence. As far as this thread the findings don't surprise me, although on a dating site I would expect women to be more interested in a man's looks as they are one of the few things determinable from viewing a profile.

It does add something new, a new way of looking at it. You seemed to think it was 'long winded' but to me it's the best analogy of the idea I've read. He emphasizes the importance of pre-sex/post-sex and draws attention to the idea that men, and not just women, also look to their gender-peers to assess the value of a woman.
