Is it wrong to want someone with similar experiences level as us? Why should we be obligated to date people who make us uncomfortable

This doesn't work with men like me who cares about how a woman values sex. What I mean is that we care that a woman values sex as romantic activity exclusively.

I vehemently agree with your argument how culture and society as larger role in shaping our dating culture than just biological factors alone. A bunch of people need to read and understand what you wrote because it's 100% correct

I would also say it comes from ideological incompatibility regarding sexual values. For an example I value sex to be a romantic activity exclusively so I wouldn't want to be with a women who can easily detach sex from romance

I can offer my perspective on the matter. To me when picking a partner I want to filter out women who had casual sex in the past due to ideology. The issue stems from incompatible sexual values. I value sex as a romantic activity exclusively and I want a partner who values that as well. Seperating sex from romance has issues. If sex is not a romantic activity how can someone cheat if they have platonic sex outside monogamous relationship. These are kind of questions people neglect to talk about

That wouldn't negate patterns and trends

I think that would have to do with cultural and social factors as opposed to gender essentialism. I know for a fact I would get emotionally attached if I were to have sex with a women. There are plenty of women here that don't get attached from sex

I am confused on why this is fatherless behavior

Could this be that men and women value sex differently. I think men like the ones who see sex as mechanism to figure out if he wants something serious see sex as a romantic activity while women just see sex as casual fun. I believe the women who are complaining that men only want sex are also women who had casual sex in past and expect men to want to settle down. So this might explain what's happening.

Hello OP, I don't want to come off as rude but it seems like you have deep fears about trusting men in romantic relationships. Honestly I believe you are valid for having fears because I have met both men and women who cheated, excused their cheating, and weird about cheating and home wrecking. I had similar fears myself and I consume media that only validate my fears. But we need to ask ourselves why are we exposing our fears in a heated debate forum where people have no compassion or empathy. …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
