OP here. A few weeks ago, I posted this at /r/feminisms and got about eight upvotes, with no comments. Let's count it as a victory in the counter-propaganda campaign.

to quote Camille Paglia: The feminist analysis of prostitution says that men are using money as power over women. I'd say, yes, that's all that men have. The money is a confession of weakness. They have to buy women's attention. It's not a sign of power; it's a sign of weakness. As quoted in Sexuality and Gender (2002) by Christine R. Williams and Arlene Stein, p. 213

Yes, I've also noticed this trend. Some MRAs have Marxist/socialist sympathies, and they get very, very uncomfortable when considering the fact that the radical feminists have basically the same philosophical roots.

no it hasn't. capitalist countries have the highest rates of longevity in the world: http://www.stephenhicks.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/life-expectancy-and-gdp-per-capita-correlation.jpg Anti-capitalists are the biggest mass murderers in modern history: Hitler and the National Socialist German Workers Party (aka Nazis): ~20 million dead (yes, Hitler was a socialist and hated capitalism. The main difference between the Nazis and the Bolsheviks was national socialism vs. international socialis…

The reason feminism (i.e., Second-wave feminism and its offshoots) will never serve as a viable men's movement is that it has a Marxist/Hegelian philosophical foundation that's quasi-religious and thus impossible to refute with facts and logic. feminists, marxists and the devoutly religious are all very similar in that they accept the principles of their belief on faith. only some of the religious people have enough honesty and insight to admit that their beliefs are rooted entirely in faith. Mo…

Cutting off women's breasts would also reduce the lifetime risk of breast cancer. Your parents decided to mutilate the most sensitive part of your body, removing a bit of skin that millions of years of evolution placed there for a very good purpose.

I think this is the important part: take a stand. Pick the battles carefully, and don't go to war. Don't expect to change anyone's minds. Don't expect apologies. But make a stand.

Agree with what, specifically?

tl;dr: yes, sort of. According to philosophy professor Christina Hoff Sommers, there are two main branches of modern feminism: equity feminism, and gener feminism. equity feminism is rooted in Enlightenment/classical liberal philosophy. the basic idea is that women deserve basic human rights and dignity: equality under the law, voting and property rights, equal access to education & career options, etc. Sommers argues that most people in America and Europe are equity feminists. And there are ple…

Hitler was center-right, socialist only in name. Yeah, that's why the Nazi Party platform called for nationalization of large businesses and elimination of "unearned profits" (i.e. interest), and that's why once the Nazis came to power they controlled virtually every aspect of how German businesses were operated ... because they were center-right and not really socialist. The second pattern [of socialism] (we may call it the Hindenburg or German pattern) nominally and seemingly preserves private…

those 20 millions of people who were killed by Hitler's National Socialists would like a word with you. so would the 4 million killed by socialist Lenin, the 30 million killed by socialist Stalin, the 2 million killed by socialist Pol Pot, etc.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
