welp, 11 minutes ago I received notification that my divorce is done... maybe that's why I felt so great, though it feels bittersweet now. Un abrazo

Allow yourself to grief and own that process. It feels luke shit but you need to go through it. Working out has helped a lot. Therapy is neccesary, this shit is rough and we are not more manly for going through it alone (and we are not... I am really thankful of this space!) Use your support network. Your friends would rather hear you whine than attend a funeral (thank you Paddy for phrasing it in a more elegant way that I could... and I know some of us habe thought about that shit). Depending o…

I'd also like to add, on the 'focus on yourself' area, try to rediscover shit that you might have liked but, as we tend to sacrifice part of our identity for the sake of the relationship and trying to make things work, were kind of lost. That has helped my process a lot and I am still figuring out a lot.

It took me a year to go through the toughest part of this process. Go day by day, take care of yourself, exercise has been important too... I had my grief and closure, now I am dating again without resentment towards women (you read that here a lot and I am not judging, we are all living and dealing with our shit) and actually having a great time. So hang in there bro and focus on yourself

live your grief and then date again... it has really bumped my self-esteem, I took my time to process this shit. The situation really fucking sucks, but you will move on

for me it's been since January, it does get better. I stopped feeling like shit like a month ago... I have followed some advice from here (work on yourself, therapy, let yourself grieve, workout, hang with friends) and I think I am starting to heal. Do not rush anything and hang in there. Un abrazo grande

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
