My happiness isn't based on misinformation, as my lived experience cannot be "misinformation". I acknowledge the source you cited earlier stating that the procedure is an outdated modality. Unfortunately, that information wasn't available 30 years ago. I can only recommend to others that they follow the recommendation of their medical professionals, and not take some guy on the internet (myself or anyone else) as their sole source of treatment advice.

Easiest solution really is just to eliminate gendered restrooms altogether. We waste so much time and resources nowadays building nearly identical rooms in pairs next to each other, in basically every public and commercial building, when one single slightly larger restroom would likely accommodate the same needs.
