| 1 | Reactions to Corbie Jean Walpole burning a man alive for a sexist comment.This is a horrible thing that happened, but this sub feels weirdly peculiar about unlikely situations of women being violent. I mean men have significantly higher violence rates towards women (sexually, domestically, etc) for near no reason than the other way around. I'm not at all saying "hate all men" though. The patriarchy puts men into a position of power, but specifically that looks like assuming masculine structures, so when a man gets raped, he's overlooked, he's weak, he must have liked it (hypersexuality within men), etc. It is fueled by the current idea of a man. Like bathrooms, crowded trains in Japan, gyms also are a place where women can be put in vulnerable positions. The fact is, some women sometimes don't go to the gym at all because they're afraid of harassment, pictures, or even sexual assault.
