At 80k, you're doing fine. Even if you were 50, 80k is a stable, good income in most of the US. If you lived in NYC, LA, Chicago, etc, that would be a different story. Bottom line is that you should be happy with your income, not with what you think other people want your income to be. If I can give you any advice at 22: don't spend your life trying to make your life fit other people's narrative. What makes YOU happy? You'll most likely end up with someone in your same socioeconomic bracket anyw…

Most men (80%) also go for the hottest women (20%). If you had a choice between Kate Beckensdale and the average girl on the train with no makeup on, who would you want? People desire desirable people, that doesn't mean that's what they realistically end up with. This applies to both genders. Yeah, women like hot, successful men. Men like hot, sexy women. That's a natural desire. As long as it doesn't cloud your judgment and you can still appreciate the reality of the people in front of you, the…

I kind of feel like I see this with celebrities all the time though. Rich, hot men marrying hot, rich women in their 30s and 40s. I mean, look at Ben Affleck and J-Lo. He's not marrying a 22 year old. Attractive people will always flock together, but most marriages tend to be within the same age range. Tend to. Even in my own family, my cousin is pretty but not a super model. At 36, she married an attractive doctor who was only about a year or two older than her. Could he have married a 23 year …

Most people I know who marry in their 30s didn't know the guy in their 20s. My cousin went to med school late in life so she didn't marry until she was 36 to a guy she worked with. She now has three daughters. My grandmother was an immigrant and came to the US poor, so dating wasn't a huge priority. She met my grandfather at 38, married at 39, and had four kids starting at 40. My mom met my dad at 32, married at 33. Same story with most of my friends. Most people I know would never date a guy fo…

Not from what I've seen, but I also live in NYC, so dating later is normal here.

30/f here. I didn't date much in my 20s because I was trying to get my career off the ground. I also didn't sleep around and focused more on myself and friendships. So dating/sex wise, my 20s were pretty dull. Now that I'm in the early 30s era, I've noticed I get hit on way more than I ever did in my 20s. Part of this is because I have the income and time now to get great skin/hair care products, high end make up, laser removal, gym memberships, ect. I look a lot more put together and stylish th…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
