Before marriage I loved casual sex with women. After the divorce of a 3 years marriage and 6 years together I don't really crave sex without emotional connection anymore. It just doesn't do it for me. Everything is finalized and I'm doing okay financially and living alone in paradise for the last 7 months. I guess it's just that I'm kinda jaded after allowing my ex to walk all over me for those years. My heart associates women with pain on some level, it's a catch 22 because I reject the emotion…

Being alone cane be.... well lonely. But I have to say I've accepted the fact that I'm nowhere near ready for any sort of meaningful relationship because I've embarked on this painfully fulfilling journey of self discovery. I'm 100% committed to learning to love me. My divorce was finalized nearly 2 months ago and it's been some of the most transformational time I've ever had. I moved to a new city, started a new job, and am building a new community. I'm finding hobbies, both new and old. I'm co…

My ex had the nerve to blame her affair on me by stating "I should've known since she cheated on her long term boyfriend with me in the first place". Which hey maybe there's some truth to that 🤷🏻

I started feeding the (healthy) neighborhood cat recently after I moved and the divorce has been finalized for a month now. I give her cans of tuna so she lovesss me lol. It's nice to have something low maintenance to care for. A few other neighbors feed her too so it's very little responsibility if I leave for a while. The companionship is nice tho.

If anything I have nothing but rage for my ex after she cheated and let her bum of an affair partner steal my shit before kicking him out after 2 days... That being said rage isn't the opposite of love, indifference is. In the past several months since separation I had sex with 1 woman and it did nothing for me. I really couldn't get into it. I've turned down several opportunities since then. The divorce was only finalized a week ago. I'm just not ready and that's okay. I'm really enjoying just …

Mine was trying to be a viper cuz I screwed up on the paperwork right after she cheated. Luckily the final decision was still 50/50, but what a nightmare. Definitely get a lawyer to make sure you dot your I's and cross your T's.

Living in my van at a campground and bartending down in the Florida keys. Kinda miss my old life, but living a simple life in paradise is pretty great too. Luckily no children involved. 🤷

The ex has gone 99% “no contact” on me after she found out that I screwed up the dates on the repayment plan where she’s supposed to pay me for half of improvements that I made to a property that she’s living on.

Luckily it’s just raw land and is paid off. I spent about 30k in improvements on that lot and only asked for 10k back. The contract with the incorrect dates stated that my name will be released from the deed once I receive 10k for improvements and she will forfeit the property if she doesn’t make payments of $500 for 3 months in a row. So she can’t sell it anyway.

I feel like both of those statements can be true depending on the circumstances.

Yep I got that. I guess that’s karma for not hiring a lawyer in the first place. Luckily my name is still on the deed so she can’t sell without me signing off at the very least.

No lawyer had to be involved… we just split everything up and downloaded legal docs that I paid for then notarized, filed at the courthouse, and signed non-negotiable contracts for all asset division agreed upon.

True that... Well it's a solid lesson learned the hard way

I mean it'll be funny in hindsight for sure... Lol I'm just counting down the time and tryna play nice cuz she's crazy for sure. I'll make an update post once she actually signs the contract to buy me out...

I get paid in a couple days so I'll draw up the contract and pay a lawyer for an hour of his time to make any edits and notarize, etc. Then we will both file with that contract in place before I move away for my new job in late April. I just have one month to deal with her. Honestly I wouldn't even mind living in a campground at this point for the next few weeks. But I refuse to take the L

I plan to write the agreement as a rent to own contract. If she can't pay within a 20 day grace period then she forfeits the property over to me and has to be out within 60 days. She didn't like it but she agreed that she's sign a contract with those terms by next week.

Update: y'all are right... I need time. I went down to a popular spring break spot for a couple nights and totally struck out and spent too much $$. The game has changed so much and I'm so closed off and hurt still.. This older (married) women who was flirting with me at closing time even told me my game is weak and I'm trying too hard lol Kinda stings but it's a good wake up call for me to just practice being by myself.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
