well thank you! I think those who think they are incapable of wrongdoing or making mistakes or just generally being shitty sometimes are delusional.

Their argument about midnight being a dangerous time for everyone is so funny, as if 11:59 is fine for men to be out, but the clock strikes 12 and the monsters come out. I think it's important to address that women are sexually assaulted in very high numbers and it's a huge issue, but men are also sexually assaulted and not enough attention or serious action is taken in response. They are both bad and they are not really a separate issue. Sexual assault and rape is certainly not an issue that sh…

haha I'm willing to admit that though I try to be kind, I am not close to perfect and I can be an asshole just like anyone else. Thinking you are above normal human emotion and behavior is silly.

Well it sucks to see how many men have had only shitty encounters with extreme feminists or whatever they are because I really think it's detrimental to any kind of progress, for both women and men. I find words like mansplaining to be so stupid and it's definitely an example of something that has caused only more division between men and women. I don't know anyone irl who acts like these women do online.

I don't know why this was downvoted, I was being sincere in what I believe feminism is and it sucks how much it has changed but I wasn't trying to be a bitch.

nope, I mean real life discussions with women and their experiences. Women would benefit from the same thing, don't get me wrong, we need to all listen to each other. You bring up valid issues where men are mistreated and Iwas never trying to say otherwise.

ok whatever you want to think about a group as a whole is your right. I get what you're saying and I am frustrated by it too, I hate to be all "can't we all just get along?" but ffs I wish we could, we are all in this shit boat together and we won't survive if all we do is fight. feminists have become extremists and men have responded by feeling they need to be too when really both groups have their own valid reasons to feel marginalized and we should just support each other but humans are stubb…

new wave feminism is sad and does the opposite of what feminism originally strived for. it sucks but please just know that many feminists don't agree with that sort of thing.

well, personally I am not that kind of feminist nor is anyone I know irl but I know there are extremists who just make things harder for women to be taken seriously, it's unfortunate

men are upset by women interfering in their fantasy world of gaming and notoriously push them away from having anything to with it. also, sport?

hmm that's interesting. the description of the character makes me think of myself, I would be into something where I got to be this character and it would fine with me if they were female, I'm female...or I think it would be fine with me, but it's hard to say for sure, I can admit that there is something easier to swallow when such characters are white males. it's unfortunate since we are talking about games and because females are not actually that different from males and female characters sho…

just ignore them then, those so called feminists are not worth the time nor do they truly represent feminism at all. it's not a competition if you don't engage with them like it is.

I mean, if you're only being nice and respectful to anyone in order to get things from them you're an asshole.

well that's ridiculous and yeah, just another thing that gives feminism a bad name. it sucks.

Actual feminism is about equality between men and women. It seems that most in this sub have had encounters with feminists who are not representative of the real movement and that sucks. Male feminists exist, if you want men and women to have equal rights and are against the mistreatment of women then you're a feminist.

But see, it absolutely counts. And you're not sexist for not watching the WNBA. Anyone who would tell you otherwise is straight up incorrect. That shit isn't feminism, telling you your experiences and preferences are wrong or not legitimate because you are male is wrong and not at all a representation of what feminism is actually about. It's unfortunate that you have been treated that way by anyone, especially anyone going under the guise of being a feminist. It gives feminism a bad name and ste…

It's hard to really know feminism through online discourse at this point. Real life interactions with feminism would likely show you what it is actually about.

Have you considered that maybe you got those responses because you went into those discussions with bias you obviously have and the idea that feminism is based largely on hatred of men? That's not what feminism is. Some people who call themselves feminists do hate men, often due to personal experiences, but real feminism includes men and men's liberation. Feminism is about equality, not supremacy.
/r/MensRights21/10/20 02:29 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
