I'm dipping my toes in the dating pool at 30 for the first time basically ever, Same brother, I got out of a long relationship and here I am now, downloading Hinge for the first time in years. After playing around with it for a few months I quickly came to the conclusion that you have to stand out in some way in order to get dates with even average people. Since these apps are so skewed towards the physical aspect, I came to the conclusion the best way to stand out is probably fitness. I've star…

Yeah same experience, from what I've seen they have to really, really be into you in order to bother meeting you. Like, you have to be in their top set of options, and there's usually only room for at most 3 guys, when they have hundreds of matches. So many times they'll be talking to you too and then they stop - presumably they just got a 'better' match. Online dating is brutal for everyone involved.

And while im all for women earning as much as men, the double standard sees most men as now being inferior, even though its just become more equal Our caveman brains haven't caught up to modern society yet. Women still prefer partners they can look up to (literally and figuratively), though they'll settle for an equal. This is starting to bite them in the ass, as women on average are starting to do better than men (for example, more women are completing college than men). Since most refuse to lo…

Eh, I think it has more to do with the association between MRA groups and the alt-right. As soon as you talk about men's mental health, people assume you must be some alt-right type and they put their guard up. It's just an association the media worked hard to create and it stuck.

If you’re talking about cold approaches then yes I agree, there’s very little you can do in 5 minutes to make her suddenly attracted to you. If it’s someone you’re around a decent amount (coworkers, mutual friends, etc) then you can totally get them to do a 180 on their attraction. I can think of two girls who outright told me they weren’t initially attracted to me at all, but as they got to know me their minds changed. One of them I asked out 3 times before she agreed, and she ended up really f…

If you’re striving to be better then you have nothing to worry about. Most guys are content to float through life so bettering yourself already puts you in the top 15%

That’s not true, I’ve had women take forever to text but still be very interested in me. I myself do that sometimes - if it’s someone I’m really interested in, I don’t text them until the evening when I’m completely free and can dedicate time to holding a conversation with them. Sometimes waiting until the evening takes hours. There are also misguided people who think texting late makes them seem aloof and not needy.

Well, when I watched a lot of porn it would take me like 20 minutes to cum. It honestly wasnt great though. When I stopped, I would cum in like 3 to 5 minutes the first round. But the subsequent rounds I'd last longer. It felt way better so it was worth it

I had the same problem when I was your age, I had my dream girl laid out on the bed holding her legs behind her head while she looked at me with the "fuck me" eyes. Still couldn't get hard. god that was embarrassing Turns out it was my porn addiction. About 2 months after I stopped watching porn I was almost completely back to normal, I could get hard just looking at her and sex actually felt good. Fuck porn

The grass is always greener on the other side my guy. Yeah even average women can constantly have new guys around them and are never lonely, but they want commitment and they don't get that from these guys. Can you imagine how you'd feel when 10 or 15 guys fuck you but don't think you're worthy of a relationship? Your confidence, self esteem, your soul would start to become crushed. This isn't a case of "maybe if they'd just give me a chance they'd like me" that many guys deal with; they DID giv…

Everyone, male or female wants the most attractive partner they can get. It's human nature. Difference with women is they can actually sleep with their "dream" partners pretty easily whereas men can't as easily. So it takes time for women to realize the reality of their situation and how high value men operate

We might be playing semantics but not all conservative women are right-wing bible thumpers. Some of my Indian American coworkers come from conservative cultures and it rubbed off on them; the women don't want to get played by a bunch of men and require more commitment before they give it up - and you better have a decent job before they even consider it. They're clearly looking for a marriage and a partner to build a life with; if that's what you want I don't think that's particularly rare, espe…

No you should definitely give a shit about her if you care about her and want a long-term relationship with her. But I think what these posters are saying is that there's a difference between doing things out of neediness/an unfounded fear of them leaving. Like there's nothing wrong with giving your gf gifts and taking her out and what not. But if you're putting way more effort into it than she is, and she's clearly not into it, then you're acting out of neediness (neediness to buy her affection…

Every mentally healthy and well adjusted woman loves nice guys. The problem is you've conflated "nice guys" with simps; you can be charming and sweet like by buying your gf flowers or opening the door for her or whatever without being a pushover. Treating your romantic partner with kindness and respect does not mean you have to let them walk all over you lol. The "nice guys" I think you're referring to are pushover losers who act nice to get what they want and instantly show their true bitter se…

This is a great idea, frankly any place that gives you a lot to talk about is awesome. I like to go to art museums for my first date, there's a ton to talk about and you can alternate between poking fun at art to genuinely appreciating it and discussing meaning and interpretation. You'll very quickly get a decent idea of who they are and what their personality is like. Plus most women think it's "classy and upscale" when in reality it's usually no more than $20 per person.

Showing emotion is not a turn off to a woman as long as you don't let them control you. Like, say you had a really traumatic experience as a child and you sometimes cry over it. As long as after you're done crying, you put yourself back together and get back to life, no sane woman will judge you; they'll actually respect you for your clear ability to express emotion without letting it control you. But if you cry and then get depressed for days or even weeks at a time, neglecting your duties and …

Some people just look unapproachable This, the way you carry yourself contributes to the vibe you give off. If you have a "don't talk to me" vibe (hunched over, anxious, looking downwards) people are going to pick up on it and avoid you. I used to do that until someone pointed it out and I changed my posture it's definitely improved things greatly. Still, you'll never get as many random encounters as women do. Every single women I've talked to has multiple stories about being randomly approached…

Yeah I added an edit to my comment, but expanding on what you said and based off what my female friends have told me/I've observed by watching them, there are a lot of reasons high quality women are still available in their late twenties. Also, a lot of younger women think they want a handsome guy but quickly realize the importance of personality. The older they get the more they realize there's more to dating than looks and they start to value, and respect, guys who have their shit together, ar…

I'm not sure if that's true, I think it's a shrinking pool for both (many of the highest quality women tend to get taken first) but it's much easier for older men than older women. I will say as a 29 year old with a nice job and house, I get way more matches in online dating than when I was younger and still figuring my shit out. Plus women get impressed that your life is together. Just my opinion though. EDIT: I'm actually not sure about the "high quality women get taken" portion. There are a…

100%, go look at the "keeping up with the kardashian" fan subreddit on here, it's primarily women who post there. They constantly bash one of the characters "Scott", who's like ~40 and dates younger women. But when the women date younger, like Kim or Kourtney, they cheer them on. It's a stupid double standard and it's 100% born out of jealousy for younger women.

It really doesn't have to be complicated, check this guy out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myzAJnhvCcM He isn't particularly funny or interesting; he's just confident and relaxed. Frankly what you say isn't as important as the vibe you give off - the dude even says something pretty stupid about oatmeal to the first girl then completely whiffs the line, and she still is into him. Be in good spirits and focus on having a good conversation rather than getting anything from them. A good way to pr…

Personality wise her and I vibed really strongly and I also deeply respected her - plus she was hella funny which I loved. All that to say that I was very attracted to who she was as a person, and that positively affected the way she looked to me - every little flaw on her disappeared and every nice feature was amplified by 100. Basically, being super into her as a person made me into her physically. So, I'd tell her she was pretty and I genuinely meant it, because to me she really was. I'd also…

While what you're saying makes sense I personally think factors of attraction are intrinsic and not relative. As an extreme example, even if a cave woman was the only woman I'd ever known I still wouldn't find her attractive. On the other hand I can intrinsically identify what I'm attracted to without knowing exactly why. Regarding sex, I guess I do somewhat agree with you; I think it's a combination of intrinsic attraction and experience, and in this point I'm inclined to agree with you that pa…

Yeah maybe on a subconscious level though I'd also argue it's entirely possible for more than one person to excite her to the same level, i.e different flavors of "alpha". After all imo the term alpha boils down to being confident, competent and having self respect, and many men have those. Anyway that's not really a counter to your argument as much as a footnote but thought it's worth adding

I know what you're getting at and lemme just say even if you have a ugly face, if your body is fit then most girls will be genuinely attracted to you.

Idk, I've talked to and observed my female friends throughout their relationships and while it takes them longer to get over the so called alpha, once they meet a guy who they have a steady serious relationship with they really do forget about the "alpha". I've seen several instances where they get banged by the guy, he leaves her and she's devastated, then she meets a nice guy and becomes serious with him and when "alpha" comes calling back she just genuinely doesn't care. As people grow older …

100% and I imagine this is the same for most people. My first gf was very conventionally attractive whereas my last gf was completely average looking - yet I actually enjoyed sex more with my last gf because we had a stronger emotional bond and that came through during sex. From talking with my female friends I believe it's the same. Yeah, you might be really into someone and when they leave it hurts but you meet someone else and eventually they fill that hole in your heart. Most people readjust…

This. You can see OP's post and get all depressed, and while it's not inaccurate, it only paints half the picture. Work on yourself and go outside and socialize - go to events, take yoga/cooking classes, meet new people. Yes it's a lot of effort but if you truly enjoy it it won't feel like effort.

That's something even the most average looking woman has to deal with, not just "sluts", though obviously the more attractive they are the more they're deal with it. Plenty of girls genuinely fall for a guy who then takes advantage of them, strings them along and then drops them when they're bored. Can it happen to men? Sure, if they're rich and naive. But women have intrinsic value as we've discussed in this thread so it happens to almost all by default. It doesn't even have to culminate in sex…

Yeah there's some truth to that for sure. But you know what? I'd 10x rather be a man and have to prove myself than be a woman and constantly deal with people using me for body. Imagine having to second guess every person you meet - are they just friends with me because they like me? Do they really love me or just saying that for sex? Is this guy genuine or he gonna bounce as soon as he gets what he wants? Men and women both have to deal with bullshit. It's really a matter of picking what flavor …

Yeah I'm not gonna discount Captain's experiences; it's entirely possible that since he doesn't believe in shit tests then what he's saying is different from what you or I may have said. All I know is my experience and hearing yours is validating. Plus if a woman told me something similar I'd always be wondering if her actions/words are authentic or not
/r/seduction11/03/21 07:27 PM

Yeah, I think OP's sentiment is true sometimes but not always. Sometimes people leave for reasons unrelated to you.
/r/seduction10/03/21 11:36 PM

I don't see the point or what you have to gain by saying that. I don't think a lot of women are completely aware that what they're doing is shit testing, but as soon as you point it out and explain it and brag about passing it, you make it seem like you view everything in the relationship as a game - and then, she'll start to see it that way too. I think that's what OP meant when he said you'll pay for it throughout the entire relationship; it becomes "me vs. you" and not "us"

I'm a software dev so similar situation and I know exactly how you feel. I found that alcohol helps prevent me from overthinking things and being more 'present' but having to rely on a toxic substance for results is not good. Fortunately though I was able to take the successes and confidence gained from my alcohol-fueled adventures and translate them into sober moments. Thanks for the detailed response. And yeah it kinda makes sense. I mean, if I really like a girl and I want a serious relationship with her I'll act different than someone I'm just having fun with. I agree with you for the most part, though I think what OP meant by "don't put more effort than she does" is referring to constantly being the one putting more effort in than her (this applies to both genders). Like if you're constantly texting her first and she never is, or if you're buying gifts but she never is, then it's time to evaluate if she/he likes you as much as you do. It's hard to diagnose this over the internet. Best would be to ask your friends for honest feedback on how you carry yourself or what not. Worth making sure your hygiene is on point; you can do everything right but if you smell it's over

/r/seduction22/12/20 05:01 PM

If that's the goal then there are better ways of showing them you care, like taking an interest in their well being or goals. Wishing your girl good luck on a presentation at work or a test and then following up to see how it went is much better than getting jealous over them meeting a guy friend for lunch
/r/seduction22/12/20 03:31 PM

Good list but I don't understand point 33, "Be a little bit jealous of small things". What purpose would this serve? All I can think of is it helps reassure insecure women that you're into them.

This should be the top comment here. I live in America and I've seen people shoot each other over being "disrespected" in the club or whatnot. And even if there aren't any guns involved you can still suffer permanent injuries from a knock to the hood - I know a guy who got knocked out once and everything seemed fine for like 3 weeks. Then out of nowhere he just started getting these horrible migraines non-stop as well as vision problems. It's been a few years and they haven't abated one bit. It'…

Old thread but I have a real life example. My friend and his gf were at the club when these two hella rowdy guys purposefully bumped into his gf. Just own it. If someone asks you why you got it then tell them the real story; you were young and drunk and adventuring in Thailand. Could make for a decent conversation starter. Regarding insults, just ignore them. Like literally just show no reaction at all and walk away if you can.

Well, you're probably right that he's worried you'll steal the spotlight. That makes him insecure and jealous, but doesn't necessarily mean you should cut him off. I have a really good friend who I've known for 10 years now and back in the day we'd do shit like that to each other - now though we've both matured and I'm glad we're still in touch. So if this is the only questionable thing he's done then IMO give him a pass.

Bro why did you post your size and girth 😂 But to answer your question, had the same problem too. I stopped watching porn and after 3 months I was vastly improved. Star Wars... it would be cool to see that with her. How should I go about this? Should I jump straight to it, or should I send something like "hey, you manage to survive all the rain this week" then move onto it when she responds?

Oops, to clarify I texted her that the next day. What should I send her next to restart and get her on a date? ♂

Oops, to clarify I texted her the next day. So for asking her out, I'm thinking "hey it was nice talking, let's grab dinner"

Exactly, she even stated she's the manager of the property and they are destroying it, and she's asked them multiple times not to skate there. Little shits

The female cop clearly says "stay right there" to someone in the crowd.

Way to judge all of us off of two sentences with no context. I'm sure you're a saint who has never made a mistake in your life.

I don't really think this is common female behavior, or even pussy pass behavior. Back in the day I cheated on my girlfriend, and my entire make friends group was witness. None of them said anything or cared. They even backed me up.

Haha exactly. As a 5'10 dude if I tried to start shit with someone your size and then got my ass handed to me, everyone would laugh at me and say I deserved it. Yet a girl can get away with it. In both cases it's a matter of someone far weaker instigating a fight with someone stronger. Shit is annoying man.

So fucking true about conflict-avoidance. Only problem is trying to set boundaries after someone already doesn't have much respect. They gotta respect you before they respect your boundaries. Any thoughts on salvaging a situation and gaining respect when you didn't have much to begin with?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
