I said it "feels like" and "kinda". It was an assumption. Not a statement. Anyway, I skimmed the article and I felt the whole paragraph based on happiness is not achieved through materialistic values (in this case sex and women) is what threw me off. I missed the point I guess. I'm gonna go back and read it... thoroughly.

What if your bored because you're broke? I'd assume that's two strikes when picking up ladies... Boring and no money. Both add up to no confidence so that's strike three and i'm out...

You just gotta keep trying. Just like woman, youre gonna run into a bunch of asshats who are too infatuated with themselves. I suggest finding friends outside of the bars actually. Try your workplace, school or somethin.

Well, I think using the term master and apprentice was a bit confusing. Yes the guy is my friend, he respects me as a friend, we do friend things and he never looks down on me as a lower person than him. But he is a great teacher when it comes to picking up. You are correct, making good friends is a good step to become more social and outgoing.
