Advice from a guy (perhaps not what you're looking for) but here it is: figure out what sort of guy you want in your life and go where those kinds of guys are. As /u/onacassarole said, it is a numbers game, and your odds will increase if you're where your goal lays. If you're active and all that, do something active and team oriented (Tough Mudder?). And other things like that... I can't really brain right now. If I think of more exmples I'll edit my post.

Playing victim isn't really a 'redpill' thing, though. If you adopt the appropriate mindset (Which is why many people gravitate to the redpill ideology) you won't be bitter, or blame people, etc. The ideas that a lot of people put forward often don't even qualify as 'redpill'. More often than not they qualify as objectification, bigotry, and other things that speak to poorly developed ways of thinking. Of course, my formulation of redpill ideology is enormously unpopular: "take responsibility fo…

Here's the thing, her body is at a "set point" and will tend to stay there because the body is smart and equilibrium (even for fat mass) requires less energy than change. Then there's the fact that her body is likely carb adapted, rather than fat adapted for its energy needs. Real change for her is going to come after a few years of effort, not a few weeks.

Do you think strength negates femininity? Not at all. Some of the most feminine women are the strongest. thinks it's gender neutral and shows appreciation for using your body. Good for you.

This was literally a shit test to see how you would react to her in a out-of-the-norm situation. If you lost your frame then you lost your chance to do anything here. I'm guessing you lost frame because she had the balls to drop her pants in front of you. That's ok, though. Don't bring it up in following interactions. The best way forward is to pretend it didn't happen and carry on.

I'm unsettled by her asking me for direct advice, though. You're surprised that women can communicate effectively? Shame on you. You know better. You know that not AWALT all the time. Any decent pharmacy would hand out the "covering-of-ass" paperwork with the meds. That's the disclosure whether anyone read it or not. I'm honestly not surprised that people are willing to be litigious over medical side-effects, though. Anything to make a buck.

Wife went without consulting me to a psychiatrist 3 months ago to quell her histrionic feels. This is why I averted a main event when I launched my rp journey last quarter. I don't think you need to worry about a main event. I think you need to remember that your wife is a rather accurate reflection of your treatment of her and your bearing as a man. Three hours is enough for whom it is necessary. A FOB in the hinterlands that has no walls necessitates 20 hour shifts to get that fucker built. Average-Joe won't have the necessity to drive himself into the wall of exhaustion, and then through it. ...talk about their depression and mental illness? The assumption here is that everyone has depression and mental illness. In this day and age, when every feeling that is beyond the normal scope of feelz is labeled as something bad and that a therapist ought to be sought out to handle said abnormal feelz, if I'm feeling down because of the weather (and I do feel like shit during the winter) I'm automatically labeled as depressed. Since September 23 I've added 95 pounds to my deadlift. Part of this is training volume and part of it is frequency. I trained deadlift once or twice a week, depending on my rotation. Each previous successful lift added ten pounds to the next workout session. My reps and sets are: (reps x weight) 6x255 4x275 2x295 6x255 (this is my session from last week) My previous session of deadlifts is where I hurt my shoulder. The session listed above didn't bother me for two reasons: adequate sleep, and p…

It isn't the squats that hurt my shoulders, its the deadlifts. From what I can tell I was doing a few things wrong: 1) My grip was too wide 2) My shoulders weren't completely engaged (I don't really know how to describe it) 3) Shit sleep (this was my biggest issue this last week). I can feel my shoulder healing, though. It has that sort of itching/buzzing feeling that a scab gets when its healing. Has he been exposed to any of the Red Pill subculture? Specifically the books "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "When I Say No I Feel Guilty"? If not, he needs to read those, because right now it sounds like he's trying to extract value from you and your interest in him. This is emotionally unhealthy and leads to damaging behaviours in a relationship.

I don't think this will be popular here, but I'll tell you what my father told me: marry your best friend. words won't do him jack squat. Not true. By communicating from an emotionally stable state he sets the foundation for communication in turbulent situations. He's learning and he needs to speak for himself, rather than try to manipulate her behaviour into what he wants it to be. Fair point. However, OP's SO caught on to what he was doing (attention for good behaviour), called him on it, and he's left in the flats as the manipulative bitch. Making his purpose clear after the fact removes the manipulation from the situation and turns this into an issue of verbally established boundaries.

Unless you have strong frame, generally run the power dynamic, it's going to come across like crying. Which is my point. When a man has proper frame and control of his emotions (regardless of levels of respect) then he can communicate effectively. I'm not suggesting hours of platitudes and arguments, just simple straight-forward communication of boundaries. [edit: too many words]
/r/MarriedRedPill13/11/15 12:07 AM

This is exactly my point. When frame is properly established, regardless of her level of respect, communication can flow in an unhindered manner (even if it is just one way).

I think this is where a lot of guys fail, especially here on MRP. Clear, concise, careful, communication is key to the success of any command, that includes one as small as a family unit. Blaming biology for a double standard is a logical fallacy. Use your fucking brain. A "biological imperative" does not negate the covert contracts this man formed when he LTR'd his soon-to-not-be girlfriend. As a man he has the faculty to choose his actions, including how he will feel. Recognizing the reasons behind how he feels and adjusting them is a fundemental part of being a man and part of what will allow him to hold frame. The assumption that low n-count women are more desirable than high…

The colloquial "to bring up" means "to speak of it". Talking about a thing makes it open for discussion, especially in this sort of relationship. In an LTR it would be easy enough to quash the resulting shit test by ignoring it or A&A. In this situation - no LTR - A&A would invariably lead to calling more attention to the issue. Ignoring a shit test may be seen as weakness. Hypothetically Me: ...(conversation and other shit leading to the aside) and some bullshit about my extra skin that doesn't…

but I started totally berating myself in my head This is evidence of value still placed in your wife. It seems to me that you are evaluating your self-worth based on how she treats you and others. What happened is that you put your self-worth in her treatment, and valued yourself based on her actions. She didn't treat you well? You must be shit. She treats Chad well? You must be shit. Identifying the problem won't help you, though. A plan to get up and out of your pit will help you. A therapist …

I would suggest a Clint Eastwood approach as much as possible; that is speaking only when absolutely necessary. Guage your situation, speak if you have to, and evaluate. I don't know specifically what you'll be speaking about, but I think you ought to do well. A person can be confident no matter how they sound. [edit] Have fun and good hunting! [/edit]

Many times people will tell you to "hire your weaknesses" and this works when there is cashflow and you have an eye for reliable talent. However, as a new player you'll need a functional understanding of /u/dayman-v-nightman 's four broad-stroke areas. If you have a functional understanding you will be able to execute each in a manner that will move you forward in your endeavor. An entrepreneur needs to be able to handle each at the very beginning because there is no one else.

Ignore her. She's treating you like shit and you're tolerating it. Don't. Be blameless. Be awesome. When I say blameless, I mean don't do anything that people could point at and call you out on. Sounds like you're a fair way there. When I say awesome, I mean be a man and own your shit whether people see you doing it or not.

and am hoping that she decides to improve herself as well. Covert contract much? Read. Read. Read. The sidebar, the books, all of it. You've got looks (you lift, your smart, etc.) but a shitty mindset. You aren't right in the head and you need a rather large attitude adjustment. /u/marxistbacon and others nailed it: leaving her won't change the fact that you've the Decleration of Covert Contracts rattling around somewhere in your head.

In some states if she leaves without being told she has no legal right to property/money/etc. (if I understood and remembered correctly something I read/heard a while ago). When you speak to a lawyer, ask about this to see if your state has any special laws concerning the mode of physical seperation.

It should have gone like this: "hey babe, grab that blanket so we can save them a spot." You state that it should go like that. I didn't see anything referring to how you would avoid it, though. So I asked.

You also need to watch this. As for your self-control issues (shouting and ordering about) I think those may stem from covert contracts that you are holding out on. It could be any number of things, honestly, but I would suggest writing these outbursts down in your daily log. Take some time at the end of a week to review your log, too. Just writing it down won't do any good.

You need to watch this. It is a drug, and like any other, it will destroy you. Question 1: if she's shit with money but has utility in buying things like groceries, cut her an allowance with a very specific budget. "Here's 800 for the groceries this month and here's 200 in discretionary." Question 2: The line is where you consciously place it not what feels right. You'll have to answer some super basic questions, like: do I want to ruin my marriage?, is my wife worth being around if she's not ho…

The Good Workouts are going well. I'm into my third week of lifting and into my fifth week of intermittent fasting. The pounds are rolling off. I'm sleeping better (when I don't drink coffee after 4PM). Housework is being kept up with. Budget is coming on line. I find managing the budget in my current situation very strange. She makes all the money and yet I still hold the reigns for the budget. Her desire for this was implicit until I stumbled across TRP. I see now that she's been wanting me to…

Well... the whole "I will establish myself in the throne of heaven and be like God" thing was what did it. Unfortunately for your premise, Eve chose out of her God given free will, and then Adam chose of the same God given volition. Satan, quite literally, just dangled some fruit in front of them and told them some not-quite truths.

People mention drugs and you jump. You want a silver bullet. I gotta tell you, man, you need an attitude adjustment in a big way. 1) Your focus is in the wrong place. Getting laid seems to be your final goal. An appropiately adjusted man doesn't give two shits about getting laid; it just happens to be part of being awesome. Instead your goal should be to be happy and awesome. 2) Your expectations are all jacked up (see number 1). You're still in the "I want it now" mindset. That's why you're ser…

Do this once a week for as many weeks as it takes you to spit them out without hesitation or discomfort. Now, all of that was bullshit. TL;DR: do stuff re…

I love my country so much I got the flag tatooed on my dog. [edit] Also, I think the comments here are devolving into a definitional argument about "love". Unfortunately the English language is shackled with one word that wields many meanings. There is love that equates to feelz. There is love that equates to choices. Women typically feel, men choose. The bottom line is that love is a choice to do what is right for the object of that love. For your country, you fight, and hopefully you vote. For…

Context I was paying attention yesterday when my wife asked me if I would do something for her: "Honey? Would you do me a favor?" "What do you need?" "The power supply for my laptop? You can say no." I don't know if that's a shit test, but it seems like she's practically begging me to tell her no in some cases. I told her if it could wait I needed to get to a good stopping point. Yup. I actually read an article recently that talks about the specific wavelengths of light and their benefits... Here it is. Here is the Skin Cancer Foundation talking about incidents of skin cancer. There are some interesting statistics hidden in there. Worth a read.

So, let me get this straight: being out in the sun is bad because "bro-science" and wearing sun-screen is good because the doctors sponsored by corporations tell us so? Consider this: the levels of skin cancer have risen proportionally to the use of sun screen.

TL;DR: Read, lift, read. Oneitis, as I understand it, comes from placing self-value somewhere other than yourself. Re-read NMMNG. Do the exercises. Don't sweat feeling sad. Sadness and fear aren't inherently "beta" in-as-much as a burger is inherently "junk food". It just depends on the context. In this case, though, you're damaged and the last thing you ought to be doing is beating yourself up (and causing more damage). and I don't have anyone to talk to. This is bullshit. As far as I can tell, any discussion on the topic of your parents that is negative in nature constitutes leaving your frame (and it is also a giant shit test that essentially says "is my husband still a douche-canoe that reacts like a fucktard when I bring up his parents?"). Read NMMNG. Instead of trying to talk the feelz out of the woman, set a boundary of respect for your parents. Enforce the boundary. Don't justify it, just set it and enforce it. I'm scared of upsetting my wife. I'm scared to tell her no when I don't want to do something. Today I'm going to tell her no. When she asks if I'll get her water, or a snack, or something else I will decline. I will limit my contributions only to the necessary (housework). I need to own my responsibilities. In an instance where you're asking someone do do something for you you become "beholden" to them to complete the task. You've essentially asked that someone take your authority to do said thing and do it for you. Given that, it is not unreasonable to explain the situation/reason/etc to this person as the knowledge of the thing is not where the transaction of power is taking place. Rather, the transaction is in the asking or assignment of the task. Because of this it might be said that you render…

"advanced utility excuse" - AUE "welfare excuse" "vampire excuses" (care for me because...) "self application of personal inferiority and responsibility denial" - SAPIRd; also a verb "you got SAPIRd, man". I like the first one mostly because it sounds like an encyclopedia term.
