I work around a lot of women, and there have been a great many occasions when this very thing has occurred. Grown ass women openly, vocally lusting after much younger - often underage - men (boys). I've made this same observation - if it were me making some comment about - or to some sixteen year old girl, it'd be screaming moms and probably cops all over this "creepy" man. For these ladies, it's party time. Their response when I bring it up is a dismissive "it's different for men and women".

Good point. Not that this isn't a a problem, but such a comparison would carry more weight if from the same source.

Correct. And OP's post illustrates that, apparently deliberately.

Honestly, I kept scrolling around the page looking for some sort of onion-esque disclaimer, asking aloud "Is this real?!" It appears real. How unfuckingbelievably, colossally STUPID. As rittarded as the inline-linked article: University admin forced out over affiliation with gun-maker, because, gawdforbid a university admin have anything to do with a company who manufactures weapons ....

You first. Help us all understand why you're the authority on what other men think about what is appropriate for their own genitals.

As a separate note, I'd like to hear what your reasoning is behind the Syria / AntiWar link you provided. I've transcribed the what I think are the relevant numbers into text for the sake of easing conversation. Total Civilians: 51,212 Rebel Forces: 24,275 Women: 5,266 Children: 7,985 Other: 13,686 1) Are we to interpret "Other" as non-women and non-children... therefore ... men? 2) What is the gender spread within the category of "Rebel Forces"? 3) What is the reason that women are excluded fro…

Lots. Again, I can see where you're coming from. I am simply urging caution in making too many assumptions, or confusing anectdotes for rule.

Also, I flat-out reject this concept that, "women have inherent value to society through birthing" as if they can spontaneously reproduce without men. Completely ridiculous. Human reproduction is dependent on binary gender coupling. Period.

Sounds like women provide something, "inherent value to society because of their reproductive capability", which is not unconditional. I opine that there is an overmuch broad view being applied here, and an over liberal usage of collective terms. Mr. Rock's observations made for comedic effect and biting social commentary, and they may indeed have some legitimate roots. However, I think it is a mistake to assume that this is universal, or that it applies to all "we" and all "they, them". For a s…

Women are unconditionally loved? I disagree very strongly. Clarification: Not saying they should be. Just saying they aren't. Same goes for men. Dogs get a pass. Period.

It sounds like you are actually describing two different things: question everything, but don't make any assumptions. Critical thinking is not the same thing as simply disagreeing with a random idea and the coming up with some other random, unsubstantiable explanation.

it's due to lack of gun control. No, it isn't. That's a bleat. These issues with violence - that plague the globe, not just the u.s. - are mental and social in their roots. It is a Nirvana Fallacy to suppose that gun "control" will "solve" anything beyond very temporarily.

I am firmly of the opinion that, as you mention, critical thinking skills is the answer.

Tangental rant: This quote from Yoda always bothered me. It implies that the path is linear, but in my experience it is not. So ... "Fear can be a path to the dark side. Fear may lead to anger. Anger might lead to hate. Hate does lead to suffering, typically your own, but possibly for others." This line does not acknowledge one's ability to choose one's own way, to define oneself, or to control one's actions. In all steps, one must be mindful and thoughtfully consider one's [re]actions. #DammitG…

Well, that's why we don't. It seems apparent that the point of OP's post is that there are those who do, and would defecate ceramic structural units were the cisgenders inverted.

This is a very interesting concept. I wonder if there is any research / science behind this - the /psychological/ effects of both short-term and long-term birth control. Anectdotally I completely agree - my own and the communicated experiences of several others seem to support this theory.
