Sorry dude.....I'm of the opinion that people need to take a good break between your marriage and what lies beyond to properly process everything. Getting involved with someone so soon is a bad idea......its going to bite you.

I read it. I completely disagree. You're projecting. Not all woman feel the need/ desire to cheat....not even in theory. Men having been trying to discredit that theory about us as a group too. It reeks of self pity. There are amazing women out there with fantastic morals that don't feel the desire to cheat. They instead feel the desire to feel a deep connection with just one person. You're theory is just plain wrong.

So your wife cheats and somehow they all cheat now? What a myopic view point. I get it.. It hurts that she cheated but you are projecting to say woman at this age have no control over themselves and are predestined to cheat. Almost borders on incell thinking.

I'm in Canada. I don't pay child support for my kids over 18 but I do pay for half their University tuition.

Ya sounds like he is putting all the blame on the guy and none on his wife.

Your ex can't unilaterally make changes on her own without a court sanctioning it. Your lawyer should be all over this bull$hit. Document everything g and get into court to get your 50/50 custody. Another thing to get is a permanent travel agreement for the kids. This allows both parties to travel with the kids without the threat of not letting the kids go to get leverage for something else.

" You have to have a cold cold heart, to just forget - most days I wish I was like that. I'm jealous of it " A couple options here: 1) You are correct and she is just a narcissist. 2) Some people just have different ways of moving on....seem more efficient at it or they have done the work behind the scenes to understand it and move on 3) They haven't moved on...they've just buried it. It will eventually hit them between the eyes ion some form.

Are you sure you ex hasn't been saying things to them about you behind your back? Because it seems odd that they are pulling back unless you were the cause of the split in the first place.

Alberta....We did mediation first. We had an agreement then something or someone got in her ear. 3.5 year battle ensued. Partly my fault for trying to be the "better person" in the beginning. I finally got her into binding arbitration where she got shut down.

If you are going the court route, you might not have a choice. The courts do what is in the child's best interest. Look, I was in your place once. I highly encourage you to go by the letter of the law in terms of child support. Keep in mind, sometimes no matter what you do the spiteful drama will always be there. Think of it another way. if you don't need the extra money, it can be put away in an education fund.

" I am not expecting her to pay me child support " This part you have wrong. She isn't paying you. She is paying for your child so yes, you should exchange financials and yes, she should be paying that. Spousal support is different and if you don;t wan it, that's a separate issue. I know this is fresh for you and would rather it just go away but you need to do what is right for your child and establish proper child support.
