I'll side on the hospital with some parts , as men don't listen and remember as much as women do . Plus COVID was keeping everyone apart not just pregnant, tho to use that is ridiculous because they both live together and do things together so keeping them apart when she gives birth doesn't make common sense.

If the mother doesn't want the father in the delivery room, maybe it's Not feminism at play and more like what's going on with that relationship. I couldn't imagine a woman that is giving birth to her husband's child wants to prevent him from seeing that joy . I think they might have problems in the relationship and she uses feminist ideology to punish her husband. It's something to do with the Civil War era, cause men would be dying like flies and the women needed SOMEONE anyone to help raise the kids that had NO dad cause he was killed on the battle field. Google it and find out when it started
