Who cares? The emphasis/morality people put on sick days versus vacation days is silly to me, especially since most of the people I work with still work from home on the days that they're sick.

Can we agree that more options are available to women when it comes to the steps preceding raising a child, due to scientific (birth control pills), biological (her body), and legal (adoption) reasons? As I see it, there are only a few ways for a responsible male who knows he does not want a child to have a real say in the situation: Become asexual - seems to be what you're suggesting, but goes against millions of years of evolution and is pretty much proven not to work (just look at abstinence …

I think the core of the complaint here is the lack of options afforded to potential fathers versus potential mothers, when something as serious as 18 years of financial and/or personal responsibility is on the table. The light at the end if the tunnel is that the whole situation should be drastically improved with a male contraceptive pill or shot.
