People whine about some stupid-ass shit on this sub, but yes, a joke about domestic violence is fucked up to find acceptable. No company would ever make a commercial where they joked about a guy making his wife sleep outside and then throwing things at her without a shit ton of backlash

His ass. False accusations are a real problem but to pretend that any time an allegation doesn't result in a conviction means it was a false allegation is just bullshit

The law varies by state. At the federal level, recording a conversation requires just one party's permission (presumably you). A lot of states require permission from every party involved however. And fyi, all this permission shit goes out the window if you're in public (anywhere without a "reasonable expectation of privacy")

It still realistically wouldn't make much of a difference when that entire retraction sounded like they were writing Phi Psi's case for negligence for them

What's interesting is that negligence is usually the hardest part to prove, but with their retraction, Rolling Stone just wrote Phi Psi's case for them.

Thank you. I don't understand how this doesn't fall under "No advice animals, rage comics, or other low-effort image posts. Mods may remove these at their discretion." The more petty shit like this is on MR, the more that we can be easily dismissed.

He's not saying that feminism isn't bad and shouldn't be bashed. But when the front page of /r/MensRights looks likes "hur dur look at dum feminists dur", it's refreshing to see someone making a good argument against feminism. And I'm not saying that the feminist-bashing should never happen, but can we please keep it to /r/MensRants or /r/MRMemes please.

While I know you're partly joking, we have /r/MensRants that is intended for this type of stuff, specifically to prevent this subreddit from becoming a circlejerk.

I just created /r/MensRants/ for essentially this purpose. PM me or something if anyone wants to help out as a mod or creating a proper sidebar or whatever.
