There's some great advice here, especially about outcome independence. Yoga classes are KNOWN by many women for attracting creepy dudes, so you're actually in a place where a lot may be on high alert. Don't stare. Learn to be open and warm. Be the prize.

Why does questioning masks mean we're Trump supporters? I am completely anti-Trump (and anti-DNC as well). I still think masking and lockdowns are bullshit at this point, and everyone knows it. Humanity is strong enough to handle this on its own, we don't need the technological elite to save us.

99% of people can't have a deep conversation. There's different reasons, some are influenced by gender, but making a stupid generalization like that has nothing to do with TRP and everything to do with lack of ability on the part of the interlocutor.

Imagine never having had a philosophical discussion with a woman beyond college entry-level. Sounds like this is a personal autism-related issue of yours, not anything generalizable about women. Have you ever had any female professors? Or even gone to college yourself? This kind of ignorant bullshit is a solid reason why TRP is quarantined, and deserves to be.

Yeah, I agree with you completely actually. I was trying to make this distinction but didn't succeed in communicating it clearly. Thanks.

Yeah, I get it. I think it's still possible, but often too high of a risk. Figure out your most fundamental values and make sure you find someone who shares those. A marriage isn't about love, romantic love is a construct of modernity. Though I believe deep love is still possible amongst people, it's just more like really caring, than anything like infatuation though. Marriage is more like a business, at the end of the day, though with different rules. Like a business, if you have a clean relati…

Though OP calls this "ideological", he's also unwittingly accepted the very ideological party line that "liberal arts" is just indoctrination. Kids, learn to think for yourselves. It's not all black and white.

Married man. Can confirm this message. Don't get married.

I really appreciate this advice. It's spot on. The issue is clearly having lived in my wife's frame, and learning how to generate my own frame. When I'm single, generating my own frame comes naturally; upon reflection, whenever I get into relationships, I let that frame go. I can lift all I want, but living in my wife's frame has kept me from any real progress on any level. And, I have been so caught up in resentment that I have lost any sense of abundance. Thank you.

That's a good forewarning. I need to mentally prepare, especially because I made took the risk of marrying upward in class. Thanks.

Got it. This is very helpful, that's a good point about making sure why she's sticking around. Reflecting, I think part of the issue that motivated me to post this is sort of the fact that someone would even want to stick around with me, and feeling like: ok, if I suck so much, what the fuck is wrong with you? Of course, I'm maybe being overly critical of myself from a long-term perspective, as I have made improvements, but there's been some darker moments over the past year, as well. In those m…

Pair bonded like crazy. I didn't even realize it until I tried to leave at one point last year, and she lost her shit like I've never seen. She's had a really bad run with men, but the fact that our relationship has been the closest resemblance to a healthy relationship (of any kind) in her life has made her gravely attached. Does she respect my boundaries? Not particularly. Why would she respect the boundaries of a faggot?

Lack of awareness of options is the definition of drunk captain, perhaps. No options, so escapism. Thank you.

LOL brilliant. As long as I am basing any aspect of my self-image on her, I'm categorically a faggot.

Solid advice, thank you for pointing out a blind spot. I need to start doing OYS posts. I think the "saving the world" shit is basically a rationalization.

Breaking my usual lurking to say, this is the best post on MRP I've ever read, and I read a lot of these posts. This is next level shit, yet so fundamental at the same time. Thank you.

Just accessed articled. Nope. No STI-based exclusions or covariates introduced in analysis. As you say, this isn't anything novel.

While you're in bed, maybe listen to some of the early men's movement stuff. While not "red pilled" in any classic sense, and often pretty cheesy, it can help to re-establish the context for the greater work that all of us men are called to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFGf8Zmi-9Q for example

You have been exclusive for six months. That is nothing, zilch, nada. What a fucking joke of a post. Wait until 5 years. Stop being an insecure little bitch. All this submissive shit is just a game for her, you haven't even given her enough time to show her true colors. Women don't show themselves at least for the first two years, unless there's some major crisis. Make it so that she is 100% replaceable. You are not doing that, clearly, because this stupid little message (which really means jack…

THIS. Holy shit. I have been waiting for someone to say this (as a lurker on another account) because I think about it a lot. I speak from first-hand perspective, if you go into this without a solid foundation of personal achievement and power, you are going to paint yourself into a corner of delusion. There's a reason Deida talks about "three stages." TWOTSM is for the THIRD stage. The first few YEARS of MRP is largely about dealing with the first two stages. If you don't have those two other s…

Welcome to the year 2019, where most boys never become men -- usually only by a combination of luck and crisis.

Here's a way to think about it. Your deepest purpose and your mission are two different things. Finding your deepest purpose is like hearing the right chord at the right time. One day, you'll be like: it's G-minor. And that's it. It's like being struck by lightning and you can't force it or bullshit yourself. You suddenly know yourself, and I mean like, really Know -- it's like some Philosopher's Stone shit. No one can ever talk about G-minor and you will never be able to put it into words. G-mi…
