Yeah man, definitely feel like a "conquest". She was young, 20, and also very attractive so I'm not surprised I'm one more on the hit-list. I also wouldn't be surprised if she comes running back if her other conquests aren't as exciting—I don't care at this point. Onwards and upwards to other women.

Yup, I caved after third date and this communicated that I was an easy conquest. Right when I let my guard down, she dipped.

You're absolutely correct. I should have just discounted her a potential long-term partner, it was too early to tell, and taken what she was giving me. What confused me was that she didn't just want me sexually, but wanted the "boyfriend experience" to compliment it. But I guess women are always confused like that and I played myself by reacting to her than taking the charge.

That sucks man. I only called this girl twice really and sent her a one message a day on average, mostly just continuing the conversation with banter/flirting. Most of the attraction I developed in person but then lost it due to over-eagerness and losing the frame which initially attracted her.

Thanks. This feels very accurate based on my experience. The reason I'm on reddit about this is because it's not just this girl but it has been a recurring pattern since I got out of two back to back LTR's. Since then, I've been trying to figure out dating and women. I've exceeded in building attraction and trust, many women sleep with me on the first night, but clearly need to learn about over-investment and neediness. I should add that she specifically told me I was more attractive than her ot…

Yes, I've thought about that but she was giving me everything from affection to compliments to sex from the first date. Same for everytime we hung out and I really didn't text her much except calling her twice when I felt like it. Even told her mom about me after the third date. She was also open about dating one other guy as a FWB but said specifically said she liked me more and he was just a friend for a year prior. I could tell that she was convinced I was a high-value male with women vying f…

Yes, this is where I lost her. I got invested and this turned her off. It definitely drove down my value compared to other guys.

Yes, there was a clear shift in my personality from outcome independent playboy who travels a lot and has a fun life to a romantically needy and manipulative guy with a history of failed relationships. She definitely picked up on this and I could sense her attitude change—I further catered by revealing too much too early and putting expectations on her when she just wanted to hang and see where it went.

I honestly kind of opened up to her on date four about the other women in my life and how I picked her and ghosted a bunch of women. This was very stupid and backfired clearly. She needed to know otherwise.

Right up to date 4, all I heard from her was how I was better than other men, how she was so happy to meet me, and then throwing long term signs like wanting to travel with me etc etc. Even the night before she ended it, we had sex and she let me take nudes of her. I suppose my mistake is taking women for face value and giving up my frame. I disagree that I’m not a high value man just based on the fact I attract women without trying, have wide range of hobbies and a successful career. I also lif…

I sort of agree. I had a long term girlfriend who was so attached to me while I treated her kind of loosely and was very bullish. But then I softened up and became more sensitive and romantic. She left me not too soon after that. It felt like she was doing a chore dating me instead of enthusiastically wanting to be with me. This experience and that fresh from last year has really left an imprint on me. Women like me more when I couldn’t care less about them.

I spent most of the past 5 years in two relationships so it is kind of confusing for me. I’ve only dated (gone on 1-4 dates) about 10 women since then . I attract a lot of women initially, online and in person, due to how I present myself but I struggle with talking to/managing multiple women at once. Probably because I’m so used to relationship vibes. Those other girls were all down but in my head I decided to pursue my “favorite.” I was just so sure I had her but in hindsight this was a big mi…

Yes, I think that’s my biggest lesson: stick to attraction and seduction, and let her catch the feelings instead.

Thank you, this is clear in hindsight. I think I began fucking it up when I became projecting that I was boyfriend material and that was the nail in the coffin. This was not consistent with the more aloof, less interested guy who attracted her and my image shifted in her head.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
