What's wrong is how completely lopsided the data is. It's not about stopping sexism, it's about stopping sexism against women, as that's all the research pertains to. So... the feminist interviewed here says he does not use the term 'toxic masculinity' because that implies there is a non-toxic masculinity which he doesn't believe exists. All masculinity is toxic because all the good parts of it are basically 'gender neutral' traits, like being kind, considerate, etc. What strictly feminine, positive traits are there? If all masculinity is toxic, then all femininity is toxic as well. That's bullshit.

Honestly, I went through the 'fragile men' sub and it's not what I expected. Most of the stuff on there is actually pretty toxic, but there are a lot of exaggerations, a lot of bigotry, and it's a very hostile place. I really losing my trust in this sort of article, regardless of the perspective and position of the author because they all bombard you with these statistics "20% of professors, 60% of students" etc. Give me one reference. One source. Where are you getting this? I'm not saying it can't be true or that it doesn't sound plausible or probable, but goddamnit how do you expect to make such serious claims without backing them up?!

I'm also for encouraging recruitment of female soldiers, but the key word is soldiers. You can only accept someone on whom your average Joe in the Army can rely on, not someone whom you're going to recruit to get the numbers up a bit.
