Thank you, this was a great explanation. I think I’m getting better at this, because your example reminded me of my own personal experience with the last guy I dated: I already have a small tattoo on my leg and when he saw it and asked about it, he said it was well done & liked the story behind why I got it. So I mentioned that I was planning on matching the tattoo with another in a similar style on my other leg and he immediately became negative about this. “But you’re so beautiful. Your skin i…

Can somebody who is more well-versed/experienced in the art of “not imagining a future while dating” with people please explain to me how or what you started doing to stop this? Or do you just do it less? Or later? I guess I’m trying to reconcile with the fact that when you’re eventually exclusive with somebody that you’ve already/can then imagine a future with them- otherwise why would you agree to stop seeing other people? I hope that’s clear 😅

Not. Dated. Older. Men. Those huge age gap relationships were stupid and a waste of my time and taxing on my mental health. Sure, you can say you “learn from all your relationships” but let’s be honest, the less trauma, stress, etc you go through as a human the better. The gaslighting, my god. I’m all good now, but daaaaaaaamn. I look back and wish I could hug my younger self and let her know it’ll be okay.

Let’s make sure to always add in the “tHis aPpLieS eQuaLly aS mUcH to wOmEn” 🤮 as if we haven’t been compromising since the beginning of time to keep men from hurting, raping & killing us. Give me a fucking break.

So everyone on the finance/stocks side of Reddit is bringing up that the divorce is an excuse to protect half of their assets because of what is about to happen to the market. Apparently, getting a divorce allows you some leeway like withdrawing your retirement IRA etc without penalties & people suspect that their family foundation could be over leveraged because of the debacle with the $GME stock right now. Regardless, it’s clear there were plenty of red flags for their relationship that have n…

That is CRAZY. Who would agree to that (for regular people?!) Assuming they just stayed together because it was easier than the process of dividing an insane amount of assets, I wonder what the tipping point was. Ugh. 🤮

I just remember going through a list of comments explaining how Musk had this terrible history with his exes, how Michelle had to technically give up a lot more for Obama than he did for her, and somebody brought up the Gates as a possible example as HV couple, and then a brief conversation ensued where it came out that they’re not going to last. I think I remember watching a documentary on Netflix about Bill and a brief history of them getting together- and it just seemed like he would barely m…

This is such a great point. I love all the photos I have of me going on all my trips, traveling all over the world. I don't bother looking or keeping a lot of the ones with any exes, and now that you pointed this out, I will definitely make it a point to do this more in the future.

my favorite part about this was finding out 2-3 of my carefully curated social media list who follows this page. SO DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED. when you think stuff like this is "innocent" because it's just "funny videos" you're missing the BIG PICTURE.

googled her, the images are all the eternal "before" picture. i hope she realizes it before it's too late. even in her responses she sounds unsure when she tries to defend herself. it looks like she's tried to fit in her whole life and be molded by everyone around her instead of trying to figure out who she is for herself. this is an invaluable lesson of FDS: you need to figure out who you are, your values, and work on leveling up yourself so you don't rely on others for their assurance. if you …

There’s actually another documentary about exactly that. It was tough to watch because a lot of the women had actual standards and some of their families were disappointed that they hadn’t settled down and had kids. So when they visited their family the parents would be embarrassed “what do we say to our neighbors?!” Whereas another’s parents, her father was actually warning how to make sure she checked up on the background of the man she’s interested in because of scams from being a rural commu…

This is my only response to men trying to tell me how to wipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba8-Vjn2a8c This man literally spent half his life dropping poop INTO his hands and then using toilet paper to clean his hands AFTER. How are men trying to tell women how much TP you need to get clean down there? Nu-uh. No thanks. #theaudacity

Some guy I was talking to last year said this to me. I tried to explaaaaaaaaaaaaain to him how important it was to me that my partner celebrates it with me because all my exes didn’t (I was pickme but starting to get my voice after finding FDS). And he was like... oooohh I don’t want to deal with all the crazy people and restaurants being busy I’d rather just get you flowers, make you a nice bath at home etc. I said, “no, you’re not listening to me. I want to celebrate it with somebody together,…
